Went to see 'Suffragette' last week. Quite good, well acted, 7 out of 10.
But once again, Hollywood puts a gloss on true life events. The woman who died when she stood in front of the king's horse at the Derby to protest was portrayed as a fresh faced English rose in her early 20's whereas in real life she was in her forties and was borderline disabled after throwing herself down an iron staircase in prison.

Oi, show some respect, sonny.
Now get along with you, and go and play grand theft superhero ninja turtles on your playstation, or whatever it is you do to pass the time between Swans games.
I watched Sufferagett last week, very powerful film, great message, hard to believe this was Britain only 100 years ago.Even more surprising was the end credits stating other countries of the world dates for giving women the vote.
