The other team gets a goal and I swear six of our players disappear.
Whilst Romeu and Yoshida were good replacements at the time, it is the managers job to tell them ALL to focus their sights and efforts upfield.

Well, it's obvious that Warburton had been reading my tweets and started coaching the defence! Or maybe not, but that must be the best performance by our defenders for a long time. Three cheers for Lumley, Hall & Leistner, with Hall the stand-out for one superb tackle in his penalty area. But what impressed me early on was Kane's terrier-like challenges. He's looked good going forward in previous matches (ignoring WBA) but he was a proper right back here. Not quite the death of playing out from the back, but at last wiseing up to when the boot into touch or downfield is the safest option.

In spite of another great game from Eze and his two goals the Man of the Match for me was Bright Osayi-Samuel. His positioning was excellent, he worked hard to close down his opposite number and scared the wits out of the PNE defence when he ran at them. Sensible, strong, if more defensive game from Rs.

Justified praise for Eze but BOS was superb, surely his best game for us. Also a word of praise for BFG just doing what he's good at, nothing fancy, no 50 yard cross field passes to Manning, just big brave and strong.
Yes, Lumley has had a few slightly dodgy games but he put in a strong, confident and safe performance and that save was simply superb and will do wonders for his confidence.
A well deserved win and a top class all round team performance.
Great to come away from the ground with a smile on my face.

This should of been 3pts gained but instead 3pts lost,a very good effort but in the end nothing to show for all the good work.

Eze, BOS and Lumley rightly got praise following the game but I'd like also big up both Manning and Kane, both of whom came in for some stick on here after the Forest game. Yes both didn't perform as well as they could do versus Forest , they know it, we know it. But they got on with their game against PNE and I thought were solid in everything they did, both defending and bombing forward assisting the midfield/forward line. Following the Forest game I wrote on the forum that with Kane there was a good player in there somewhere, we just need to find it. We found it big time on Saturday. And as Clive wrote in his programme column there is a current trend development online 'to be as over the top provocative and mean as you can'.

We are Doomed to go down. It shows how bad we are when a team like Burnley beat Newcastle and we cant beat West Ham a team down near us in the table. Var tried to help us again yesterday but we could not take advantage of it. We have the worst defence in the Premier League and the midfield is not much better. From the kick off yesterday there was only going to be one winner they wanted it more.

Message to our skipper, please, please ,please DO NOT sign a new contract. This is the only time in my 45 years of watching the team that i am truly embarresed to attend. Each half time we now discuss not who's playing well but who is the worst player this week. Difficult to know where to start with yesterdays game, Stephens and Bednerak were too scared of Antonio to even jump with him. PEH and JWP simply can't pass or run or tackle. Ings,Romeau and the keeper are the only ones who deserve to be paid for that sh*t show!People seem to only blame the owner, but surely coaching must come into the equation? We now must not lose at Villa or i fear the manager would have to go, obviosly we can't bring in 10 new players in the window, but 2 or 3 experienced players are desperately needed. If we don't lose touch we'll still have a decent chance of staying up, but if not i fear this lot simply do not have the character to redeem the situation.

Please tell me when did Hojbjerg have a good game, certainly wasn't yesterday the worst yet. He should not be wearing the captains arm band the only person who deserves it is Ings.Another pathetic performance, how many times must we have to endure this awful gutless display at home.
We will truly be doomed unless we get our act together but l have been thinking that for 3yrs now and l fear we don't have the ability in this team to turn things around.

Nothing I say could be scathing enough individually or collectively.
