Just been watching match choice.
Great seeing that team selection. If only Taraabt was on form. Mackie is great, a real handfull for defenders. Hill, Derry, the old pro's that will get in oppositions faces, wont take any rubbish from any one. Faulin bit classy.
We just don't punish teams.Clear to Rednapp as when we scored he didnt celabrate and seemed to say "watch out". He new what was coming next. But then again so did i ,and i know sweet FA.

Did you mean 'gutsy', or were you refering to the weather?

That was the old Ale Faurlin playing. Sharp passing and wonderful tackles. Great to see. Overall a very encouraging performance by him and the Championship era players. Need some tall strong defenders next transfer window.

The replacement of the brittle Traore by Ferdinand changed the game – not the United substitutions.

It's all about the Al Pacino inches – a bit more from Cisse and Tarrabt and it was a possible point. Instead we got the steak knives.

No disgrace in this defeat, if Traore is fit then same starting 11 on Tuesday please

Seeing five of Warnock's winners starting the match reminded me why we won the Championship in the first place

Lest we forget last week, I'd also like to see Bosingwa training in Wormholt Park...

As others have noted the loss of Traore changed the game, the performance of Derry , Mackie, Faurlin and Hill cannot be ignored they put some heart and backbone back into the team. Taarabt is not my favourite but none the less he is a tryer of late and his frustation is evidence of his will to win and lack of solid support.
Big Job for Harry to keep us up I fear, but I have some hope now where I had none last week.

Great effort from the lads that played. Defence were superb and kept their shape well until the change. Since I saw the YouTube clip last week I can't get John Sitton's quote out of my head "You could light a Bunsen Burner under Anton's big toe and he still wouldn't sense danger." Never has a true word been uttered!

That's more like it! Plenty of effort and fight. Being Picky Cisse needs to work all of the time not just now and then in a lone striker roll. Faurlin looked much better but he has always worried me when we lose possession he seems to tread water chasing back. Derry played ok but I think we need Diakite or Mbia alongside/behind Ali.

Typical Mackie performance full of guts, running and surprise.
Wonder if Harry and his coaches can improve Ferdinand and get the best out of Tarabt.

Seems like Sunderland used up their quota of mistakes yesterday, in a home defeat. It will be very hard on Tuesday as they will be anxious to avoid another.
