Blackpool 0 Watford 1 Wednesday, 17th Sep 2014 08:32 by Editor This was a game of of three penalties. The one Watford scored, the one Blackpool missed and the one at the end that the referee failed to give, if Blackpool are to move away from the bottom of the Championship they'll have to start taking their chances but more importantly bring in such much needed quality. Watford dominated the first half and only goalkeeper Joe Lewis's heroics saved the home side from conceding a hatful. The Seasiders offered little from midfield with Perkins and Lundstram the Achilles heel whilst Miller and Zoko in for Delfouenso and Ranger saw little of the ball to make any sort of an impact Blackpool did improve after the break. Five minutes into the second half, Miller headed on McMahon's long ball to put Zoko through, but onrushing goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes made the save. With the Chairman's much needed backing, time for Jose to pull some much needed rabbit's out of the hat - an appearance and work permit for Cubero would be a start.
