Have LUST been left high and dry by Radebe rebuff? Monday, 18th Nov 2013 02:10 Leeds United's owners GFH Capital have moved swiftly to rubbish reports that a takeover consortium with Lucas Radebe at the helm is set to move in at LS11. Earlier LUST chairman Gary Cooper claimed Leeds fans would consider it an "ideal scenario". LUST spoke candidly last week about a "pound for pound" investment involving supporters of the club and a wealthy individual, however the rumours grew mileage and by Friday night a consortium headed by former captain Lucas Radebe was set to take over the club. By Saturday morning, not for the first time, our former Commercial Director Adam Pearson's name was added to the rumour, this prompted Leeds United to issue a statement saying: "We are watching with a mixture of bemusement and interest the reports suggesting any credible takeover bid has been made. "No serious approach has been made by any members reportedly concerned." However the whirlwind reports certainly captured the imagination of LUST Chairman Gary Cooper, who said "Obviously we, and all Leeds United fans, need more detail. But it has got to be exciting because of the involvement of Lucas Radebe, "Leeds United winning promotion back into the Premier League with a group involving Lucas, who is loved by all Leeds United supporters, would be an ideal scenario. "He knows what it takes to be successful at Leeds United, because he was part of those great European nights in the late 1990s and early 2000s." Looks like the detail, sadly is non-existent. Roll on Saturday's clash with Boro so we can talk football again. Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
