I think that is very important to remember. I do think though however, if your head isn't right that will have am impact on your game. It's just the way he carries himself on the pitch. At time it appears to be that he feels he is better than this level. Taking liberties in his play. No problem with confidence but some times it seems arrogant |

Just to add. When everyone is fit we have quite a few options. Defence looking solid. Well, centre back is. Also Dembele to come back too. I thought he started well for us but then the teams general form and struggles effected his firm too. Hopefully we are still doing well when he comes back to the team. Would like to see him in a team playing well. |

I think with Chair is the sort of player and the way he plays he has to be fully fit and sharp for us to see his attacking intent. He is such a whole hearted playing with the yards he covers that sometimes this can have a detriment to his attacking game. I think it was just one of those nights. A number of games in quick succession and probably just feeling it a bit and just the way the game itself unfolded. I think it was a good situation to be in to he able to actually take him off and have someone come on who had an impact. Shows a bit of depth to thr squad I actually thought Morgan was looking a bit leggy in the first half. I thought it might have been interesting to see chair play in Morgans position and Saito go out wide. |

I get that but he has been poor wherever he plays. When he was left back, you cut him some slack as not his correct side. This day and age though a professional player should be able to handle that to some degree and know what things to do and not do to deal with that. However he has been poor on the right side too. I can't decide if it is his decision making and execution of those choices or he just thinks he is a lot better than he actually is. Running in field into traffic and then losing the ball, is stupid a couple of times but it is his go to move. Simple passes, half the time not looking up to see an opposition player in the way. I think some of it is ego to as he can't admit that he isn't as good as he thinks and he just needs to do the basics |

He's 23-24 and had about 50 games in total. That tells you everything you need. Time and again people have seen something that they don't like. I don't want him near the first team. Sadly I think he thinks he is a lot better than he is. Maybe coming from a Premiership club or maybe he thinks he has to be exceptional because of that and tries things he shouldn't even be thinking about. Runs forward when he should keep his position Stays still when he should overlap. Always seems to turn and run into trouble by going in field near his own area. His decision making is terrible and then the execution of the decision is just as bad. When he came on, I was like 'Oh f**k' Then for about 30 seconds I thought, 'Ok he is playing furthur forward, his pace might help' Then he got the ball and I was worried we were going to lose |

I have to say "His varying styles of finishing ability and into-the-box run-making stood out to us. We're excited to work with him to further develop his game." 😂😉 |

Totally get that but sometimes you need to take a step back to back to start moving in the right direction again. He doesn't need to give up on his principles just a tweak here and there just to get them going again. I don't think it's giving up on your principles but just adaptability to give the team some confidence. |

I think in these interviews a manager is never going into details about what needs to be done. Its a 2 minute interview straight after the game. I think he knows what he wants and how he gets it and it isn't with a lot of that team. Same names for a few years and no manager has got a tune out of them. I think the time to judge is after he has a few of his players in and a bit of time. I know a good coach should be able to coach a team his style but I think so many of those players don't have the mentality or physical attributes to play the high energy football he wants. |

The ego on Ange and how stubborn is he. Yes it's great wanting to play a certain way as he puts it the risk is worth the reward when it comes off. However all risk and no reward. Constantly making the same mistakes and won't change a thing. They would probably fair better if they didn't have so many injuries, with players purchased for the style he wants to play. With lesser players though. His stubbornness will cost him his job and his ego when questioned, wow he doesn't like it |

I think his passing is improving but it's more about his intent. He is now trying to make passes he wouldn't before. The more he tries them the better he will get at them. I quite like the set up in midfield as it is |

Just wanted to give him a thread to say I remember not so long ago when his formed and dropped dramatically and we did wonder if he would last in a Marti team. Slowly but surely he is becoming a more well rounded midfield player. I know his finishing still has a lot of work but now we are seeing him make those runs. Spot the opportunity where as before he wouldn't be there. I know having Varane there really helps but he was tasked with developing his game and slowly but surely he is. Even is distribution is improving and he is more confident on the ball. Little turn back and moves to retain position to then allow him to make a progressive pass. Despite now playing in a more box to box role, still always has the energy to make that block, last man tackle or clearance off the line. He reads danger so well I know he has said in interviews he hasn't seen himself as a captain but he is a natural leader and does so much talking on the pitch. I think when the time comes he is Cooks natural successor. So well done Sam Field. So glad you are at my club. West Broms stupidity was our gain |

I see condescending rears it's head again. No I don't know you apart from on here. The way you present yourself though, I wouldn't want too. Yes and a board like this is great for discussion and debate. Sadly though your idea of debate is for people to agree with you and when they don't you argue more, then just head straight for rudeness and in many cases pettynes. It's interested that you have a total lack of self awareness. You believe you present yourself as someone who is here for lively debate etc but you are the first one that makes it personal with your snidey comments and then get all hurt when you get it in return. You say people's comments are irrelevant but you comment on people kindly agreeing with you. Kindness doesn't come into it. You don't agree with someone to be kind. You either agree or don't. You say its irrelevant but you report someone. You are a contradiction. And if you are going to quote Oscar Wilde. Get the quote right. "Whenever people agree with me I always feel I must be wrong." You say I wouldn't know about what you are talking about, I do and I get my references correct |

Ahh ok. Yes. It seems to be on most the threads I select to read. I'll have to go find a thread where people speak well if you. Might take some time |

Do you think they could work together or do you need that dominating centre back. I know JCS wins a lot in the air but probably plays better with a Cook or Dunne type player on xt to him |

Any idea how tall Edwards is? Seems quick enough and good on the ball. Not sure if he is that all dominating CB who will be the first to the ball and dominate in the air? Just wondering as wouldn't minds seeing him and JCS play together. With their ball playing ability would be interesting to see. Just not sure which one would be the one going in for the aerial challenge and who sweeps up |
