Neither are my favourites but congratulations to Leeds and Burnley.

Particularly to Leeds who suffered defeat against us in last season’s playoffs after finishing well ahead of us in the Championship proper.

I hope that at least one of them can make a better effort in the top flight than Sports Republic’s pathetic attempt this season.

Southampton F C Accounts for the year ending June 30 2024

A profit of £5.7 million for the year was suggested last week but according to the Companies House web site this morning, the accounts are overdue and the omission is highlighted in red.

I wonder if there is a reason they don’t appear to have been submitted on time ?

Relegated but be happy, they have an extra 49 days before the season ends.

49 days plus the whole of the close season to make a bigger mess than they have already created.

And I’ve absolutely no doubt they will rise to the challenge at all levels with further poor managerial decisions, poor player recruitment and poor communication with the fans.

You know it makes sense. After all, it’s what they do.

Last evening he couldn’t even be bothered to warm up properly and when he did come on to the pitch his effort and running was just as pathetic.

In my opinion he’s just an overrated petulant teenager, who I for one cannot wait to see the back of.

After Wolves win it’s difficult to see Ipswich or Leicester making up twelve points in nine games now.

With Liverpool pretty much certain to win the title it’s going to be a very boring end to the league with everything looking settled by April the First.

If my reading of the Companies House web site is correct the club have until March 31 2025 to submit their accounts.

Doesn’t leave much time does it ?

Alternatively perhaps they are submitted and Companies House’s web site hasn’t been updated I suppose ?
