If you are in the West End, this place was really good https://tommis.is/?location=_en I don't remember it being really dear, but was better than the big chains |

I thought Talksport was after he finished, I remember a lot of horse racing stuff, maybe that was pre-Australia? |

What was the "double job" from Charlie Austin? I've missed the relationship there I think? From what I saw in that final stint between him and Stef, once they signed that contract they barely did half a job for the rest of that season. |

I think it highlights the issue with a radical change in style and man management between coaches. The type of motivation that GA used against Burnley worked for some of those players. If the club cannot settle on a "type" of player and "style" of football then any coach is going to struggle to adapt his style to fit the current group of players. It does feel like only QPR is capable of these complete collapses within a season, where a squad suddenly fall off a cliff We've had these now under many many different managers and groups of players. The only constant is the club and owners. Or do other clubs frequently go on record breaking streaks without winning or scoring? |

Oh dear... I feel like we can see now how out of his depth he was. Look at the difference to the recent interview with MW. It's hard to see how we went from high expectations, with one of the bigger budgets in the Champ to "little old QPR, just lucky to be there" in such a short space of time |

Didn't Mark say he'd turned down Champ clubs? Why would a L1 basket case with no money be more attractive? --Not having a dig, just trying to be realistic. I liked MW, I think his thoughts on our youth setup were correct at the time. Its a shame he didn't get to realise the new shared training ground, as this can/could really help get that development back on track. OR, we decide that if the A* kids all want to sign for Chelsea and other AAA academies then we just scrap it all and pick up older cast offs and just run a B team.?? |

Yeah, its a bit weird. Gibson did make a custom shop replica of the Yardburst, which sells for ~£10k still. But, it doesn't look like the stripped finish from the Christies website... https://willcuttguitars.com/cdn/shop/files/YB033-8_5000x.jpg?v=1720456122 I think its famously a two tone burst, from a cherry to tobacco. I tend to think of the white strat as his main guitar; But a lot of the photos, show a brass nut, and sometimes a floyd rose trem, so I reckon he had a few no.1's Eitherway they are going to reach some big numbers. I wonder if they are selling off his hot rod collection as well? |

no way is that pre CBS white strat going for $80k |

I think the league are scared of the Charlie Austin unfiltered "Parklife" type reactions, as they can't work out how to fine the players after a rant |
| Forum Reply | Mark Warburton interview at 12:45 14 Nov 2024
I did wonder about Austin and Johansen. MW mentioned that they did well on loan because they were hungry. Which I interpret as tried really hard as they wanted a more lucrative deal Did we just see what happens when some players take their foot off the gas a little? --Or maybe the other players easing off after the bloke next to them gets a bit more, while doing less than them (in their eyes)? |

I love Mark as a man and a manager, he always comes across well and is as open and honest as he can be. But, lets not forget that in his last season they massively pushed the boat out. The club did a lot of business early, handing out big contracts to Stefan and Charlie, which went on to haunt us for FFP for the next period. It was publicly stated that we were aiming for top 6, so even us lowly fans knew what was expected of this manager and team. The collapse that year was monumental, and if you use MW yardstick, we probably finished with a league position below our budget, so he did miss his target. Now, was this because the noise between manager, DoF and academy was affecting the squad? We may never know. Charlie Austin said in a recent interview that the dressing room was poor in his second spell at QPR. I almost always think this is due to money, and it might be that the higher earners piss off the rest of the squad if its felt like they are not pulling their weight. Like Taarabt getting the hump when he found out Cesar earnt more than him |

How old are you? I'm 47 and had similar this year. Mine was pain at the bottom of the heel, almost like someone had kicked me. From talking to a physio its related to the calf muscle being too tight. It's really painful in the mornings and eases off as I move around. |

I think Purdie is a great drummer and obviously a very confident man when you see him speak. The collective internet seems to agree though that he is in fact a massive bullshitter Sorry, I was repeating nonsense. The Beatles are still crap though |
