They 100% didnt play The Joiners, saying that, ive met about 50 people over the years who swear they saw them there.
They did play Pompey Poly where the joiners booker, Mint spoke to them after and offered them a deal, it didnt go any further.
The other Myth ive heard but cant confirm as i was only 4 at the time. Hendrix stopped off on his way to IOW and jammed with some local Musos. Good yarn true or not |

It was like a scene from a carry on film. First lad tried to come in, was knocked back for no ticket. As he walked out he got slapped by this older lad with shouts of he's one of ours he's one of ours. Bit of a stand off, only me and my doorman and about three musos having a fag. They could have taken liberties but for whatever reason decided not too. Still trying to work out what they were actually doing, all a bit strange |
