Rohl seems to have done a pretty incredible job at Wednesday given the basket case the club is, that combined with the fact he's been with us before is probably the main thinking as to why people want him.
Also from what i understand Rohl was the person who coached the players and had the relationship with them when he was with us, Ralph by all accounts was pretty removed and very analytical in his decision making. |

I was told by a very, very reliable source before the game that the club internally were fully aware of the mess they were in but didn't want to sack martin for a number of reasons.
The first and most important was cost, the second was that they didn't believe they could get the right manager in to replace him as they wouldn't find people who would want the job, and the third was they didn't believe anyone they currently had in the club was capable to take on the role as interim manager.
So given all of that i think if he'd kept the score low or got a draw he'd never have been sacked, and also makes me think the club have no idea who the next manager should be, which is a real worry |

We will pointlessly play the ball around the back and eventually give it to Son who'll score, Spurs will look toothless and there for the taking, but Martin won't allow our players to attack so that won't matter.
I'm going 3-1 Spurs in what will most likely be the most boring game of football all weekend, played at a stupid kick off time so that overseas "fans" can get their fix of paint drying in before the working week starts.
After the game Martin will say how brave we were and utterly ignore that his complete and utter f*cking incompetence is going to lead to us having the lowest points total of any premier league team ever.
Big Ange will praise Martin in a patronising way and we will limp on to our next game, with the Saints fans wondering if overdosing on sleeping pills is more enjoyable that watching the floating turd that is Russell Martin's "style". |

I usually love the FA Cup, and even prefer it to the league, but i'm not going to this game as i've had enough of watching the absolute fraud impose his god awful valium football on us.
Spending another weekend watch us pass the ball sideways and backwards to satisfy one man's rampant ego is not my idea of fun.
And the dinlows at Sports Republic can f*ck off if they think they're getting anymore of my money when he's still here. |

It was definitely on the march, and the cover read "hope you die soon" with a speech bubble coming out of his mouth saying "bet i don't".
It was made by a mate of mine and loads of people missed the point that it was mocking him for his arrogance. |

Yup spot on, we knew who we were, and when people called us ale house brawlers, or struggling Southampton, or said we were an unpopular club it just made us double down and get into them harder.
Now we have nippers saying we’re bigger than Everton, or acting like we have a right to play football a certain way
We’ve gone soft, and need to get back to the f*ck you attitude we had in the past. |

At the dell we had an us against them mentality, at times that was used to take on the bigger clubs, at other times that was used to take on our own.
There was a lot more pride in being sotonian and the club was a football club but also an extension of our city and us, and like f*ck would we let anyone mock that.
These days football is a past time, entertainment or hobby to many, and the loud voices of the nippers have no connection or knowledge of the city, and view it as a football club.
So they get annoyed about results and their outlet is a podcast or video, that’s easy for the club to dismiss, and those people are easy to buy off with marketing and access.
Someone like Nick or on the march were willing to get banned, or attract press and hate to make the club better, our new “influencers” are pacified by getting closer.
Sadly I don’t think the nippers have the boll*cks to actually be unpopular, and even view it as a bad thing. |

Was chatting to mates in the pub before the Brighton game and i pointed out that Martin reminds me of Branfoot.
Not for style of play obviously, but the fact that he's got "his system", he refuses to change "his system" even when it's clear it doesn't work, he also has "his favourites" who no matter how badly they do won't be removed, and he has a level of extreme arrogance that simply doesn't map to the results.
The only difference is that so far he's not gone after the fans, but given it a few weeks and i don't think it's out of the question that happens. |

Reaching the point now where the only option is to boycott a home game, he's too arrogant to take in that people want him gone, or that he should change, and the board are too up themselves/stupid too admit their mistake. |
