Spot on Grumps with regards to how we've become a Premier League whipping boy compared to the glory days in the 80s. It's more about whether you feel football in general has changed for the better or worse. Personally I think both! |

He's pacy and our best finisher. It's a shame we've not figured out a way to regulary feed him the ball in and around the oppos penalty area. He's been pretty useless when he has to drop deep. |

Agree about the ridiculous amount of money that drives the big boys forever onwards and upwards , particularly the oil rich state owned clubs . 500k a week wages for Haaland is just mental. But in 83/84 when we finished 2nd our average attendance was 18,000 with a 24,000 capacity. We are now witnessing the likelihood of our worst season in our 140 year history yet we get 30,000 fans in a 32,000 capacity. ....football has never been more popular than it is now. |

Too many old boys on here moaning about the good old days. Time moves on relentlessly. I'm sure many of our dad's and grandads moaned about how terrible football had become in the 70s/80s/90s. I'm sure this young generation will be doing exactly the same in 20 years time. |

Watched the game last night. God it was awful. Zero quality. Well done Lions. |

Dragan has just been interviewed on Talk Sport. He made it clear that Juric is staying here for next season. He said they're putting a better structure in place to support the manager including players that fit his style.....mmmm. Time will tell. |

Spot on . Can't believe anyone would think another manager could get a tune out this squad. I actually feel sorry for both players and managers, they all look shell-shocked and are desperate. The incompetent recruitment has royally shafted them and left them out high and dry as they flounder in a league that's way above most them ability wise. |

Bazunu clearly struggles to save shots. It's was as clear as day. Don't think it had much to do with him playing out from the back . The stats as other posters previously highlighted, showed he was the worst keeper in the Championship for shots to saves ratio and yet despite that we still finished fourth. Best of luck to the lad and hopefully he improves. Preferably at another club. I'd go for Johansson at Stoke. Great keeper at Rotherham and now topping the Championship charts for saves this season too. |

I was deluded pre-season...thought Downes would shine , in reality he's hapless at this level, can see West Ham chuckling when we gave them 18m for him. I even a though Armstrong would get 6-8 goals ....silly boy |
| Forum Thread | Ivan Juric ...please learn from today at 16:36 19 Jan 2025
Appreciate he's learning about the players. Hopefully today he's seen enough to realise. 1. KWP on the right , Manning on the left. 2. Downes on bench . Big Les and Joe must start in the middle. 3. Armstrong is a poor poor striker at this level and always will be Championship player. 4. Sulemana is a terrible finisher . But finally he's put his nitro bossters on and will create havoc and space for others to finish. 5. Play the big fella!!! |
| Forum Reply | Sulemana at 18:32 13 Jan 2025
Agreed, although i do wonder if he'd be more effective down the right side, rather than having to stop and check back onto his right foot when he's out on the left. Highly likely either way he's not good enough but credit where its due he was good in the first half yesterday. |

If memory serves me correctly the couple of occasions I saw him chat to the fans at away games we went on to comfortably win. No one is denying the fact he like the players are not upto Prem standard and he rightly got the sack. Last season though the less cynical and negative fans just enjoyed it...after years of getting smashed and struggling. |

Fair play to Sulemana, maybe that'll put an extra million on his transfer fee. You forget how bad a mid table Championship side can be. We really should get another couple..maybe a chance for Onuachu to get off the mark. |

Looks like a team that won't score or create chances...Honestly Bree at right wing back is just awful, Sulemana given yet another go makes me think they must be trying to put him in the shop window. |

Last season brought many happy and cherished memories both home and away . It certainly did for me and some of the away games with my lad won't be forgotten. I suspect these two ladies were not only happy with the wins but the fact Russ used to come over and chat to the fans behind the goal about an hour before kick off at away games and this meant alot to not only them but many other less cynical souls you find on forums. |

Me and my lad are going . What's not to like? A dreary cold Sunday afternoon stroll to the theatre of doom, followed by a 95 minutes of mediocrity in three quarter empty stadium. I'm beginning to hope we lose badly and the anger towards the clowns ruining our club goes up a notch. |
