I’m years behind but the ‘Quickly Kevin’ 90s football podcast is superb, especially the episodes about Steve Bruce’s books. |

That's exactly what Stevenage are to be fair. They're bloody good at it and Freeman has the quality to make the most of it. Was nice to see Chris Day still going. No sign of Agyemang who presumably has been shot and turned to glue. We'll see with Bury. Their only big striker went off with what could be a bad knee injury and their few quality players for that level are in midfield so even Blackwell should be looking to play on the floor. |

How can any Rangers fan not rate Faurlin? The lad was on another level to anyone else until his injury. He'd completed the most tackles in the division by a distance when he got injured, was the best passer in the team and won plenty in the air. As for SWP, he was dire but to his credit he always wanted the ball and didn't hide. He was just appalling once he received it. |

That Leicester game is one of those that has always stuck in my mind. They got a laughable penalty after five minutes when Shittu was injured on the floor and the ball rolled onto his arm and we battered them for most of the match including those two disallowed goals. |
| News Comment | A big day for Wigan, and the football team won too — full match report at 12:12:09
I don't mind travelling 200 miles to Wigan and finding out Patrick Agyemang is playing but I do mind seeing Buzsaky, Taarabt or Smith running with the ball and looking for our lone striker to find him a.) nowhere near where he should be and b.) jogging slowly to get somewhere near the box when he should be busting a gut to do so. I don't see how Hewitt would do any worse and Helguson, Hulse and Bothroyd are all infinitely better. Agyemang now has 16 goals in 73 games for us which means he has 8 in 65 since his excellent start which frankly, for a striker who offers the square root of f all in terms of creating chances for others is not good enough. Hall can f off as well for needing treatment every time he has to make a tackle, the big tart. Saying that, there were some encouraging signs from the kids who came on and Taarabt was excellent imo. |

I think the most alarming thing you've said is that it was a fantastic game. There was one team trying to get the ball down and entertain and another looking to seemingly smash the ball at the corner flags á la Wimbledon mixed in with the sort of play-acting and niggly tactics Uruguay would drool at. |
