Its not about that. Its about the owner buying the platform and then flooding it with extreme content from one end of the political spectrum. Its ruining what was once a great platform.
Fine if you like that content, by all means engage and enjoy, fill your boots. The rest of us don't need to have it forced upon us though. That is the problem. Whether you want it or not it has become unavoidable.
Most of us don't frequent these places seeking political arguments. |

You may be the first to ever admit to that. There were many that day. Considered it myself but decided to stay.
Don't think I ever left early. Once tried to storm out after we conceded a late winner at Arsenal but was stopped at the gate and had to hang around until the police escort after the game. |

No, it isn't that. It is having extreme views often directed by the owner forced on people. There is no balance. Musk bought the platform for this very reason. Its just another media attempt at mind control and has been quite successful.
I use Twitter for mostly football related banter etc which it used to be brilliant for and sometimes still is. Social media started going downhill in general when it got political some years back. Facebook no better, although it does seem to have eased up a bit more recently. Or maybe I just don't see it any more after unfollowing the worst accounts. [Post edited 12 Nov 8:24]

Considering it. Twitter used to be so good but has been ruined by Musk.
I have been able to manage my feed so I avoid most of the worst stuff (I don't click on the "for you" tab which is where a lot of it will be found) but being on there doesn't sit that well with me given who runs it and how he's using it.
So is Bluesky any good? I tried Threads but it doesn't seem to be up to much. [Post edited 12 Nov 8:23]

Celtic have done this sort of thing very well in recent years. O'Riley is only the most recent example, Jota before him. Kuhn will be next and maybe Kyogo. But they have huge support, champions league money and not much domestic competition. |

It is actually quite depressing that the best clubs like us can seemingly hope for is kicking around the bottom half of the prem for years like Palace and Brentford. To me doesn't seem that much more interesting than doing the same in the championship (although even that is starting to look beyond us). |

I remember the first time I saw the film well.
We were on a ferry going back from the hook of Holland to Harwich (about a 7 hour trip I think from memory) in 91 having followed England to Poland for a Euros qualifier.
On the way over, we and other England fans had spent the entire ferry crossing drinking (especially once the cheap duty free shop on the boat opened) and then continued this on the very long train journey to Warsaw. Stopped off in Berlin for a couple of days on the way home after the game. A week or so of almost constant alcohol.
Therefore, by the time we were on the ferry home we were all feeling very seedy, tired and hungover and decided it might be better not to just get drunk on this boat trip. There was a small cinema on board and The Commitments was showing so we decided to take it in. Enjoyed it very much, but we probably still had 4 hours to go by the time it finished.
Still we told ourselves better not just start drinking again. Held out for a bit but then got bored and there was suddenly an announcement of 2 for 1 happy hour drinks in the bar. Cue a table full of beers for the rest of the trip and kicking the hangover can down the road for another day.
Anyway the film is still a classic. |

OK, trying to find some optimism.
Mistakes at the back. Get JCS back in and this should improve.
Lack of creativity up front. Chair is now back but not yet match fit. Surely he will improve this aspect.
Midfield? Fair enough, that's a struggle. |

Even the points we have come from a lucky win v Luton, equally lucky draws v Wednesday, Wall and Sheffield Utd and failing to win an absolute gimme v ten man Plymouth.

Indeed. I remember the "you're not very good" chant ringing around the home sections when we were dominant, before it all fell apart.
That night I was in upper Loft. I had purchased a Le Coq Sportif QPR t shirt which was dark blue but the arms were a very Wolves like gold colour. Got quite a few unfriendly looks on arrival before people realised it was actually a QPR garment. |
