it's easier to lose fans than it is to get them back. If not for my son I would probably have stopped completely and wouldn't go back, I was quite comfortable with my armchair view. The best way to get them back is to keep entertaining and win more games. The biggest turn off was slow, boring, repeptitve football and losing too often. |

Which reality? Which one has he failed to grasp, in your opinion? Is it unrealistic to vote against a budget that will cost more jobs? Is it unrealistic to say the Labour government has cut the WFA, is talking of cutting welfare, has raised taxes with more rises likely...is all that wrong? |

I think I said (as soon as he left) I wouldn;t miss him. I was rounded on by a few people for saying he was part of the problem. There is no pleasure in being right there. With Grimes and Williams gone, with Sheehan and O'brien replacing them, it's been a breath of fresh air. Lets be honest, Grimes leaving was the best thing all around. Williams going was just an essential requirement because he couldn't run the proverbial bath. Lets phrase it another way, I know it's only 3 games but how many of the Grimes fans want him back? |

The figures don';t matter, it'd be as relevant as me comparing my household income to yours. Good people can still be stupid, I'm sure you're a good person really. Good people voyted tory and what do you always call tories? Maybe you should consider the hypocrisy in that? The largest economic damage to this country actually happened when we joined the EU and our heavy industry, our fishing industry were decimated, more than decimated really. Our steel industry is a small fraction of what it used to be, manufacturing has been moved abroad en masse. We lost far more industry after joining the EU than we have since we left If you want better public services you may as well go and pray for them because the politicians are far too busy milking the cash cow that is the public purse. All we get every year now are spending cuts and tax rises. That won't change unless we change how we vote, who we vote for. Keep voting for the same parties and we'll get the same outcomes. |

Odd thread this, hardly any posts on a winning day with a very good performance too. Anyway, another solid game, defence was sound, we pressed effectively and Eoms goal was vey well taken. We were the better side for most of the game, the last 20 they really came at us but only really threatened once. At the final whistle they all came over, Eom did the first fist pumps and Sheehan practically had to be forced to have a go. It's not about him, it';s about the team, the club, it really is and I 100% hope he keeps the run going (3 games 4 goals, 3 clean sheets and 7 points) and earns a crack at the job full time, if he wants it, because he seems to be the best choice. If he doesn't want a big pay rise then offer him a good bonus but he can't be any worse than some of the planks we've had to suffer recently. |

One of Mango's fairytales is about the Orange revolution, that pro Russian candidtae stood on the basis of applying for EU membership but when he got into power he changed tack and sided with Russia. I'm not denying USA involvement but the truth is important so when he says Trump wants peace maybe he should remember what vance spouted? Remember Mango, politico.eu/article/jd-vance-trashes-keir-starmer-emmanuel-macron-ukraine-peacekeeping-plan/ The USA wants an economic upside so they sided with Putin to try and force Ukraine into accepting massive loss of territory and a very beneficial minerals rights deal, it wasn't about saving lives, it was about profit. Profit for Putin and profit for the USA. So stick your Russian propaganda and your Trump loving somewhere where people will believe it. |

Yes he is boring, we all know that even if we applied to rejoin the EU it would be on new terms and would cost us more money than before with no veto allowed. This Labour councillor os brilliant, he clearly cares. A lot of the cuts and raises in taxes are because of waste, because of stupid decisions and because we have too mamy politicians and too many high earners in public office. 22 LGO's in Wales, 22 CEO's when we only need what, 5 at most, how many workers at 35K would those other 17 CEO's wages pay for, then there's all the other high paid jobs at LGO's we don't need which would both save money AND create more front line jobs. What costs this country more money than brexit is political stupidity and the stupidity of voters who keep making the same choices and expect things to change. Well done Jakob Williamson, you'd get my vote. I do wonder though, the budget he was voting against, it cut 250 jobs but did the cabinet get a pay rise too? |

Just been reading the latest about the Gene Hackman investigation, very sad way to go, bbc.co.uk/news/live/cvgeqd2lqx0t They think she may have died first of Hantavirus and because of his advanced Alzheimers and cardiovascular condition he may not have realised she was dead. How the dog died they haven't said yet |

I know, shame on me for not believing some perfect stranger on social media who probably gets his truth from "Truth Social" and as we all SHOULD know, Trump and Putin are the good guys here and Ukraine are the criminals.... I think I'll stick with my original version though, mate. |

The Senedd seem to think that nice beaches and nice countryside is enough but it's nowhere near enough. People want thinbgs to do, especially their kids who, when bored, will drive their parents crazy. I know we don't have the weather for an outdoor water park but an indoor one which could maybe fit on the steelworks site too? |

I know I'm wasting my time because a Texan DJ knows better than an actual resident AND democratically elected political representative of the Crimea. Clearly Refat Chubarov is not a good source according to you. stick with your Texan DJ then. If there is an unwanted war it is because of Putin and the USA. That's not to say Starmer is brilliant but he didn't cause this so blaming him for a potential war is silly. What next, Churchill was responsible for WW2? If it doesn't merit a response, why did you respond? |

Well he's been an MS for a long time, then he was health minister, first minister and now finance minister, I dread to think how much he's going to cost us in retirement too and all this while he causes more poverty in Wales. |

Please don't call me a grown up! But yes, the Senedd is throttling Wales on the altar of ideology. |
 | Forum Reply | Oakwood Theme Park Closed ... at 16:32 6 Mar 2025
The problem with my idea is it means closing the steelworks but then, they could produce xteel for the theme park, stockpile it and then close the steelworks and the workers can transfer over to the company building the theme park, when it's built they move over to the theme park, unless they retired. It's maybe a tad ambitious an idea for Wales and we'd need a billinaire to take it on. All that said, could it be viable, could it work? |

I'll tell you what she can with her books, except I wouldn't be allowed to post it here. You can guess though. Her father would be spinning in his grave, he saw it as doing something good for other people but this woman and her husband saw it as a cash cow. |

Of course it had no competition, it's way out in the sticks with poor roads surrounding it. Who'd build a theme park there these days unless there was a motorway being built to connect it? Why was it dirty AND dangerous? Of course a big wheel isn't quite the same but that's not what I suggested, I suggested a full on theme park which would bring thousands of construction jobs and afterwards thousands of permanent jobs, as long as the theme park was succesful anyway. Imagine a Welsh theme park with hotels right next to the M4, put a train station there and CWL airport just an hours drive away...add in watersports on the seafront and sports facilities in behind. It's massive investment but if it was succesful it would bring a lot of money into Wales. |
 | Forum Reply | Equality under the law at 15:43 6 Mar 2025
Well you're right, I know it from my own personal experience. How can a rampant alcoholic be given custody ahead of a non alcoholic parent simply because she's the mother? Equality is a myth, wherever you look equality doesn't really exist, there is always favouritism or discrimination...don't get me started on the inequality oif "positive discrimination" either. The legal system is filled with anomalies and every day courts try to manouvre through them the best way they can hence the saying, the law is an ass. |
