Thread | QPR only discussion - English fans vs American fans

In the spirit of international break philosophical discussion, I’m curious about the views and differences between those lucky enough to have grown up near our beloved Rangers and those of us less lucky but still fortunate enough to have found this sacred totem of football
Personally, part of me views myself, a fan since 2006, like something of a dog looking for scraps under the table (the scraps being of questionable merit since they’re full of misery, sporadic accolades, Flavio, and the inspirational epic winner)

Well obviously i have no real idea of what’s going on, maybe he didn’t like the environment here, Brooklyn nets has a lot more money I’d think, too. Who knows? |

True, some people can be great innovators and get some new goodness in place, but then don’t necessarily have the personality or desire to sustain it once it’s created. Often it’s better to find someone to take it over for the next stage, the right person will even improve it |

I do too, with caveats. Nothing apropos to football, ofc, as that’s an entertainment industry…
There does need to be some 3rd party oversight though for ensuring vast disparities. There are in the corporate world, all of them based on personal situations, negotiation skill, systemic racism, systemic sexism, and all of the stereotypical mindsets that human beings are prone to. Ideally, because not all of those factors are based on social injustices, wages should be kept private IF we can also ensure that emotionally driven social inequities are being filtered out of the process |

I like him. Don’t think he’s a bad person, just fiery and that’s his mojo. The second yellow was harsh. I’ll stand by him, he rocks, he’s very good and he came on and was a big part of why we bossed the 2nd half. He starts for me anytime and against anyone |

He’s obviously a passionate and fiery player, does better when angry. Crime didn’t fit the punishment though, inane to give him a quick second yellow just for talking so I’m thinking they’re making an example. Proper would have been to talk to Cook and Marti, tell them to take him off themselves if it was really that bad — maybe we’ll hear something after the match about what he said that merited it, would have to believe something racist and hate related if it did deserve a second. I reserve judgment and say it’s over the top; would expect the club to fine him though, and I also think that is proper |

Ouch, now Cook is down, head knock looks like. Saito is primed to come in
I like that we have strong subs in key areas, with Anderson replaced by Dembele, Chair now for Saito (hope he does well…), Morrison as backup CB |
