| Forum Thread | Paloschi looking good! at 13:37 7 Feb 2016
Not sure how everyone else feels, but I'm quite pleased with our new striker so far! Puts in a shift and a half. Even came back on occasions to help out (successfully) in defence to win the ball back. He seems very enthusiastic and hard working. I know it's only a game and a half we've seen of him, but he definitely seems an upgrade on Gomis. When Gomis came on the last 5 mins yesterday, it was frustrating to watch. The guy barely moved! Maybe I'm being a bit too harsh, but Paloschi definitely seems the better and hungrier of the 2 from what we've seen so far. I think he and Siggy will enjoy a fruitful partnership once they learn to play together. What are your thoughts on Paloschi so far? [Post edited 7 Feb 2016 13:39]

He came out yesterday on Twitter and said we'd offered Ayew £120k a week in wages, which is why he chose us over West Ham. Wondering how he knows the intricate details of the contracts we offer players. Kinda pissed me off tonight, that did. |

It's true. Check out the Swans Focus with Shelvey. He says there that he hopes his performances will be seen by the England manager and OTHER clubs. Why would he want other clubs to see his performances if he didn't intend to go? As it's been said, it's all part of football. Rarely will a top player dream of one day playing for Swansea City. Nevertheless, we still manage to pick up the odd superstar here and there. |

Probably. Not too sure what it all is, the way he was prostituted around by his agent. |

In fairness to Gomis, he's hardly had a chance. Played ok in the cups, admittedly missed a sitter at Chelsea, but most teams won't fare well against them this season, and had a lackluster performances (as did most of the players) against Sunderland. Think he needs a good run of games before he can be adequately judged. |

Hope you're right. Hopefully he'll sign a new contract this season, meaning a bigger sell on clause in Summer. |

Anyone else find it strange that he's already talking about the January transfer window? Seems he can't get out of here quick enough. He mentioned that other clubs will be put off because he'll be playing in the AFCON, so he doesn't expect to leave in January. Quite disappointed he's come out with this now. Why's he thinking of leaving already? We're only a month and a half into the new season! http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/29497441 |

He tried booking tickets for the derby using someone else's account (without their consent) and found out a day before the game that it wasn't possible because that account had already purchased derby day tickets. Now he's pissed that there'll be 2 empty seats in the away end that he won't be occupying, and blames the vice chairman for the whole thing. |

we're also 3 wins away from 2nd place. There are 3 points between 18th and 9th, and we have the best goal diff. out of 20th to 9th. Maybe GD isn't such a huge thing, but it shows we're scoring/defending better than the other teams we'll be competing with for a mid table finish. we're 1/4 way through the season. We'll be fine. Can't believe some are panicking. If someone offered me 9th and top of Europa League at this point, I'd snap their hand off! |

I seriously don't understand what more people want from him. JS got seriously abused, despite him scoring an incredible amount of goals for us. It will surely be the same for Bony. I've seen a few 'Bony Bashers' come out of the works already, so at the Albion game on Sunday, I paid very close attention to Bony, and I was very impressed to say the least. His positioning is great, he's always looking for space, he can hold the ball up well, and when needed, can draw a foul from the opposition, giving us a set piece to attack. He's not the best dribbler, but it's good enough and he's also not afraid to shoot outside the box. People must NOT forget that he is a TARGET man. This is why he goes missing at times. Most of our game is played in midfield and he is forward, waiting for a good ball in. As a target man, he is completely dependant on the delivery from the wingers/midfielders, and I don't mind saying that 95% of the time, our delivery/crosses have been absolutely abysmal. Not sure at times if we're actually crossing the ball or playing it to the other wing. Still, to stay with the subject, I'll say I'm very happy with him. Definitely the striker we need. Just need to improve our delivery. |

Pablo had a great game against United, despite the score. Worked incredibly hard, put in some good crosses and passes. Loved the fact that he was always trying to move the ball forward. Hoping this is a sign of very good things to come from him this season. |

He's not looked unfit to me. he's definitely slow though. Yeah, he missed a good headed chance, but every striker will miss chances here and there. Chill man. |

Think it's nice that we finally have someone who'll stick around in the attacking position though. Helps when the target man is in the position in which he'll be targeted. He seems to be a great buy so far though. Holds the ball up fantastically well for my liking. |

You're right about Shearer there. Bonys goal against United was a good one too. Great position and snapped at it with power and accuracy. perfect! |

So, we've seen him a few times in a Swans shirt. Wanted to know what everyone thinks about our new No.10 so far? For me, he seems a good buy (though it's impossible to make accurate judgements after only a few games). He gets himself into good positions, holds the ball up well and long enough that others have time to get into the box or into a good position for a pass, his passing is good and his finishing so far seems to be spot on. Scored 3 in 3 for us now. (would've been 4 if he hadn't been incorrectly flagged offside against Malmo in the 2nd leg). My only problem with him is he's a little sluggish. Seems to have the acceleration of an aircraft carrier. His movement seems quite slow, but apart from that, I've not found much to really be concerned about. What are your thoughts on him? |
