My Stoke supporting colleague and I have Just had a very enjoyable re-read of Clive's match report following the dire game last season [NB Clive - match reports for 17/18 and 18/19 are the wrong way menus]. Masterful stuff. Do treat yourself. You'll chortle, marvel at Clive's skill and, if you are going on Saturday, pray for much, much better & that Clive doesn't have to reach once again into his personal memory bank for a dire enough comparison to use in his introductory paragraph.
Not just LFW. QPR itself well in with the liberal elite. A main character in Clare in the Community comedy on Radio 4 last night mentioned going to QPR game (whilst in couples' therapy...).
Shame Ned has to explain what was going on in his bit to Ingram - the highs and lows of the Play Off Final..... You'd like to think that our players have SOME idea of our history - even if it is just the recent stuff. Weekly lecture from LFW in order I suggest.
Do you need a hug Clive?? I feel for you and your sh*tty school experience. Fortunately for us you somehow made it out alive and have gifted us the marvelous LFW. p.s "Bravo" on gender choices in your final paragraph egs.
Was at Lords watching England vs India (Dickie Bird's last test match too fact fans) when we played Spain. Cricket pretty dull. Crowd silent. Soon became clear after kick off that many people had resorted to tuning into the football as out of context 'oohs' and 'ahhs' went up. Huge cheers resounded from the silence as we scored our penalties in the shoot out. To the bemusement of players and anyone not listening of course!
See into the future to guess what 'Arry's excuse for being nothing to do with Derby's failure to get into the play off final will be.
'I did what I could with the odd bit of advice to the boy Darren but its his team really. If only they given me a call earlier I could really 'ave made a difference. A transfer window would have meant I could get Niko in to do a job.'
Anyone with 'first home game of the season' rituals to share?? Dusting down the replica shirt and off early to Crown & Sceptre for some big match atmosphere and Thai food for me.
Please, let's not pass up the opportunity to show him up good and proper. Hopefully Clive is free and near a 'phone to call in , start off all innocent like and then go for the kill....
Last injury there was lots of stuff organised by the Media team - a card of twitter best wishes etc - not to mention the shirt held up by JB. This time - nothing. Can't be arsed or hoping we forget he exists before he gets 'let go'....?? Maybe he will be #1 on the Advent Calendar they are doing....
