Plantar fascia injury. Looked it up on the Mayo clinic website. It is an injury to the band of tissue at the bottom of the foot that runs from the heel to the toes. Doesn't seem to be a tear in which case the recovery time is 6 to 8 weeks according to the website.

In the words of my dear old departed Dad before road rage became a thing. He would grip the steering wheel, shake his head and mumble 'jerk' under his breath.
This sums up your ill advised and totally pointless thread.

I know you can't blame just one person for this debacle, but it's Anderson.

The meaning of dreams !!!
at 07:06 14 Dec 2024

Simple really. Not able to hit a cow's arse with a banjo is synonymous with not being able to 'hit the target' ie goal. Thus the dog in this dream equates to our 'great dane' Madsen not only hitting the proverbial cow's arse but being totally engulfed into it. Hence Madsen to score at least three, maybe the other great Dane, Anderson also getting in on the act.

This 100%. also not a great fan of PS, but he has done well the last few games. It's just his propensity to fall over too easily looking for a free kick, it's embarrassing at times. Also stop taking the ball all the way down to the goaline before you cross. How about fizzing it into the box (© Andy Sinton) before you run out of pitch.

Well in the 45 mins of mind numbing awfulness.
Madsen and Asby have both gone that extra mile of utter crap.

Well there are so many. This is one of my favorites from the excellent black Moses himself, Isaac Hayes. Taken from the Shaft album, where every song is superb.

8 seconds……
at 11:43 6 Dec 2024

I think that the scoreboard should display a countdown from 8 seconds as soon as the goalie touches the ball. If no goal kick is taken within the time limit a Claxon/siren/foghorn should sound thus indicating a indirect free kick or corner. This will remove any unnecessary stress or indecisiveness from the already overworked referee. It's not rocket science.

This is a serious question: are we sure that loftus road wasn't built over an ancient roman/druid burial ground?

I have watch all sorts of sports in my many years and I can honestly say that I have never seen a team so incredibly unlucky as our R's.
Normally you get the rub of the green every now and then, 50/50 chances drop in your favor. The goalie makes an error, but know. It would be funny if it wasn't so annoying.

This indeed.
My 68 year old self does have a little guffaw when I see all corner takers now moving the ball out to 'overhang' the corner area border line.
Maybe I'm being naïve but does the extra 4 or 5 inches change anything? Improves the angle? Gets the ball further away from the corner flag? Or as with most things in life an extra 4 or 5 inches makes a big difference.
I get the impression that it is done because it's the 'thing to do' now.
