I have got to say that keeping us in has always seemed the wrong move at Millwall, all it does is allow their nutters to get out and mob up somewhere away from the ground. Whereas if they let the away fans out first and got them on the trains and away then it is less likely to kick off. But as I was told by the Old Bill once, away from the ground and it aint our problem.

Millwall on 10:23 - Sep 24 with 5786 views | daveB | The walkway to the station is a good idea, far too many idiots at Millwall and brings out the worst in our lot as well. If you re allowed to walk free it will all kick off. I'll go as it's a Saturday game but it will be dreadful again

The last time we played them, all Rangers were herded onto a train back to London Bridge. You could not break the police cordon at the New Den, at New Cross Station or at London Bridge. I wanted to get the tube at London Bridge at the OB made you walk out of the station and enter the tube area differently. Going to Millwall this season will be a royal pain in the butt. That said, it's typically safe because of the segregation. What you will get is, a lot of drunken idiots squaring up to each other behind a police cordon / in a stand / behind a fence. Because they are hard. 20% of Wall fans and 20% of our fans will spend the game doing wnker signs to each other, staring at each other and trying to get at each other. Despite the stands not being joined so unless you can fly, you can't get into each stand. We won't get the full allocation as the lower tier typically isn't sold for safety reasons. Sh*thole of a place, ground and experience TBH. I've done it enough times thanks very much!

Charlie ,I was born there !! Your description is spot on. If Del Boy Trotter really wanted to earn some dosh, he'd set up a stall selling plasters and bandages down the market for all the bleeding knuckles in the home sections.
Millwall on 11:15 - Sep 24 with 5682 views | Sudbury_Hill_R | Do as we did last time. Sit in with the home fans. No bother with being kept in or hoarded on trains. That way you can enjoy the pubs along the river in Bermondsey before and after. There are some really decent ones.

What got me last time, were the many, many women (if you can call them that) trying to rush into our end. They'd basically run towards the advertising hoarders throwing fists and arms in the air. Curious bunch! I'm not sure I'd sit in their end. Did it at West Ham once, no thanks.

Millwall on 12:52 - Sep 24 with 5530 views | themodfather | palace got both tiers last time they played, last season i'm sure..set a record crowd? why can't we have both? if millwall ain't safe to attend, close it down, simples. you can either wait by the fenced route to the south bermondsey stn or to the "back" gate and go to the other stns. police are everywhere. one season they had to let qpr in the lower due to the vast numbers who travelled. i think much depends on millwall's policy, ie if like ours, want both tiers, pay for every seat!

That might be a reciprocal arrangement with Palace as Millwall always get given the whole of the Arthur Waite stand at Selhurst when they move Palace ST holders to other stands to accomodate them.
Millwall on 13:21 - Sep 24 with 5468 views | YorkRanger | Went for the first time in the promotion season. Not a memorable experience but the extensive efforst made on segregation made it fairly safe (assuming you could avoid the stones thrown into the area behind the stand after the game).

Yeah it made it fairly safe, but took ages to get out afterwards. I think you could go to Midlands away games and get home earlier than a trip to 'wall.

Millwall on 15:15 - Sep 24 with 5351 views | spencer | Went there on our championship winning season.Sat in the main stand as went with couple of Millwall mates...We walked off the train at Bermondsey down the cat walk where there was a sign...away fans this way.At that point,my mates found it funny it wave me goodbye in front of everyone. When I sat down,a really decent looking woman and bloke went passed me in our seats..polite as you like.Until the game started.I have never ever heard such foul and abusive language in my life.Half time...polite as you would ever again. QPR fans obviously sat in the away end,the opposite stand, there is a section of fans, that do not watch the game. The stare and hurl abuse for full 90 mins at the QPR fans. If I remember right, there was a little bit of a ruck going through the walk before and after the game.If you have a nervous disposition, may not be the place to go....I shall wave again from the main stand as it looks like I have been invited again....fun
Millwall on 15:29 - Sep 24 with 5340 views | barbicanranger | The game at their place the year we got promoted is where I was christened briefcase ranger as I used my work briefcase to shelter myself from the stones that the natives were raining down on the qpr fans waiting to leave through a gate at the back of the away stand. Unfortunately I was spotted by someone on here and was denounced on here by Jeff. Was a pretty unpleasant experience last time as there was a pretty big scuffle afterwards, I want to go again this season but think I will wait a good while to leave the stadium as they closed a gate that leads to the station so when we left early, we were penned in and some of our fans provoked the natives, which is when the trouble KO'd, again poor policing to blame. Probably wont take the briefcase this time either, as it's a Saturday. [Post edited 24 Sep 2013 15:30]

You did not have to go to London Bridge after the last game and were allowed to leave immediately without waiting in the walkway if you came out the stand and turned left (word of warning it did involve taking your life in your own hands). Once the police let our fans into the station you were also allowed to go onto the main street as that's we done as we had driven and parked in the estate
