If so, can you please explain to me mutual combatant law (if in existence in the uk). had a bit of a messy breakup, with the ex smashing up the apartment, witholding money, stealing things (car keys amongst many others, toothbrush included). anyway been cleaning out our apartment, took a few things round and asked for my keys back. her dad comes tearing out the side of the house with a wrench. runs at me like a mad man. i swooped down and put him on the ground and did no more, whilst he tried to bite my thumb off and struck me multiple times with the wrench. had to go to hospital for a tetanus injection and concussion. turns out the weak sh*t, has gone to the police and told them that i assaulted him. i've got witnesses and the like, but apparently if i press charges against him and he against me then it falls under mutual combatants. police officer said that if i'm found innocent then so will he by default?! somehow doesnt seem right. going to speak to a few people tomorrow to see options, just hoping there's somebody on here that can point me in the right direction. cheers. | |
