One imagines the details are still not done so you can’t really say much.

Might jeopardise the deal - much like possibly getting injured if he’d played.

Plan for the worst but hope for the best !

Why stop now, just when I'm hating it

I would hope the dropping of Jimmy from the squad today doesn't mean that the game on Tuesday before the match , they are announcing a contract extension for Jimmy Dunne, simply because if that's the case, keeping a player out of the team that undoubtedly affected the course of the game, just so they can do a big surprise announcement bigger, is not good management for me.

If they are doing it that way, would be delighted they extending his contract, but not so they anger fans for three or four days.

It's disrespecting the fan base.

In that case, play him today.

However, Sheffield Utd as I understand it, have had a second bid turned down from ourselves and could turn to Tanganga, but Tanganga played in this game. Wasn't weirdly injured.

Sheffield are definitely signing a centre back they have said, but if they want Jimmy as a centre back, I would not go there if it was me. He is definitely more effective at right back or on the right of a three, than in the middle.

I was surprised when everyone were saying he was gone when there was no definite information but it's all rather mucky currently.

It's the dirtiness of modern day football sadly.

I appreciate if Dunne say offered double wages to what he is on here, he should go. Sounds like as a family man, he could help finance his entire extended family and knowing his character, he could be doing this for that reason.

Football wise, it won't work out for him.

Well mate the person interviewing normally asks the person being interviewed stuff of interest like that . As it's of interest to the fans ..not rock science really.

I find your post quite confusing to make sense of.

1. Are you're seriously suggesting thst the club would drop one of its key players to mnaipulate/maximise the prestige of a contract extension announcement? Even for the most rabid of Nourry haters, that would be stretching credulity to breaking point, surely (as well as sullying Marti, the management team and Dunne himself in colluding with it)?

2. How do you know Sheff Utd have had a second bid turned down, or who they might be 'turning' to - or are you just mouthing what we can all read for ourselves in the WLS bulletin? They 'could be turning' to anyone, so here you seem to be segueing into clickbait territory - without the click (or the bait).

3. What do you know of JD's 'character' - are you some kind of friend or close confidante?

4. What stands out is how you seem to conclude by inferring he's mainly money-motivated, which reads as a bit of a slur to say the least! What's your basis for this?

As for the fooballing side, and since none of us have crystal balls (unless there are any rather traditional clairvoyants in the ethers on LfW), if he moves there, and unless he's a complete mercenary, it would presumably be only because he and the club think he could make a step up with them - which he may or may not.

I gotta ask... 'We all know is not the case'

How? Why would an assistant manager, with an excellent relationship with the fans come straight out and lie? Why?

If 'we all know' then how?

Gents regardless of the interview with Calm post match, everything you needed to know about James Dunne was NOT said by Tyler and Sints as the teams were read out on the Offy comms at the start of the game.

Who do they think they are kidding but that is the way of the world now. They have to line up some positive news to counter Jimmy’s departure.

Some Chelsea reject forward signed to counter the negativity on Monday evening.

if the much-missed Nick London were still in situ, and like the kid with the nude emperor, I'd like to think he WOULD have said something (though would presumably have been summarily dismissed for a second time for doing so).

Telling the (whole) truth and not treating your paying punters like imbeciles is obviously such a novel concept in the football industry the game would implode if it were implemented. I suppose as long as enough fans go along with it, nothing will change.

It's sometimes a good show, but often a shitshow, folks.
