Maybe, but even if it’s only a month or so, the club are clearly spooked by the impact of losing one or any combination of our main three CB’s… “The likes of Morgan Fox and Jake Clarke-Salter have also had injury problems, prompting the club to look to make a signing during the January transfer window.”
Ronnie Edwards on 19:47 - Dec 31 with 4963 views | Hunterhoop | The guy could be class, I have no idea, but this team needs more Championship experience and game management nous, especially with Cook out. We should be looking to bring an experienced head, IMO. Another signing with no Champ experience doesn’t scream “learning our lesson”.

The data speaks. That is probably our main data source so likely we’ll sign him. Good job it wasn’t in place 20 years ago. Richard Paquette would have been given a 10 year deal.

TBF I think we have known this, especially with Cook. Morrison's injury is less specified, which means it is indeterminate how long. We definitely need a CB. If nothing else it frees up Fox to play LB. If we are to get ANYTHING for Paal he needs to be sold now. The same applies to Dunne of course, but I am sure he is going NOWHERE even if we lose him for a free next summer. With regard to players loaned out- can we recall Larkeche and Kellman?

Dunne will sign a new deal if offered and I suspect he will be Half the supporters here wanted Kelman gone, not sure why we would recall him

Well there was of course the infamous Ronnie Kray, the gangster of the east end and then there was also Buster Edwards who after serving time for the great train robbery sold flowers outside Waterloo station and their love child was the aforementioned Ronnie Edwards, so can see why you think that !!!

100%. If we’re loaning someone in at centre back we need a Ryan Nelsen / Steve Cook wizened old pro, no point taking a gamble on another kid who’ll just walk away in the summer anyway. What’s Chris Mepham up to these days? Or we need to start training Field to play more games at centre back, he’s looked good there

In what universe is Southampton our rival next year? Our highest finish in the last decade was 9th. Our average league position has been 15th. And even if we are “rivals”, what is the concern? That one of the eleven southampton players is incrementally better in the two matches we’ll play them next year? If qpr don’t sign him, someone else will None of us have seen this guy play. Not sure why we’re assuming he’s going to suddenly get a starting gig at soton on the back of a few random appearances at qpr. It’s not uncommon for these prem loanees to end up flopping and playing at a lower level - look at Joe hodge now on loan in league one I’m generally not a fan of these loans but could care less abt how it helps or hurts southampton
Ronnie Edwards on 00:05 - Jan 1 with 3808 views | 100percent | Who's to say its not a loan with a view to signing? Alternatively we could just watch Fox play in that position until he leaves at the end of his contract.....

Playing field at Center back means you take him out of midfield which is a huge drop off unless colback is available (from semi retirement) Worth remembering the financial constraints and that every pound we spend today is one we can’t spend tomorrow We have 3 good Center backs, one ropey back up and two guys who can also play there in dunne and field…. So people for 2 spots It prob does make sense to get someone in but all we’re trying to do is find a 4th or 5th option at Centerback

I stand corrected, by myself, he has played a season in the Champ for Peterborough. They were relegated, but he was their player of the season apparently. He then had two seasons in League One. So some experience. But he is only 21!! I wonder if there is a view to a permanent signing with this one. Loaning. 21 yr old centre half to replace you 34yr old, vastly experienced captain isn’t like for like.
Ronnie Edwards on 09:42 - Jan 1 with 3287 views | DavieQPR | Could be no different than Kolli then? Edwards has played 4 times the amount of Championship games than Morrison. [Post edited 1 Jan 9:48]
