Have we a new Manager yet? 18:49 - Dec 17 with 1512 views | dixiefrog | So we sit patiently and await an announcement from the current Board as to who our new manager will be. I’ve very little expectations that they will pull off a really exciting coup, especially as this will be the 35th time that I’ve awaited the answer to their deliberations. So while we wait I thought it would be ‘fun’ to list the stages we usually go through, whilst we wait patiently. 1. Expectation 2. Optimism 3. Hope 4. Faith 5. Surprise 6. Realization 7. Bewilderment 8. Anger 9. Misery 10. Despair What’s your view, what have I missed from your list?

Jones was Ankersen’s choice. Selles was Semmens’ choice. Martin was Wilcox’s choice. I just hope it isn’t bloody Parsons’ turn to have the choice. He has ruined everything else he has touched.

As a club we never ever seem to learn from our mistakes From transfers to managers to players selections to tactics we endlessly repeat our failings We really need to break that pattern this time

It all comes back to Ankersen though. Jones - Ankersen's choice Jesse Marsch - targeted by the non-Ankersen board members after the Jones debacle to recreate the high pressing style we played under Ralph. Agreed to join but then changed his mind when it became clear that there would be a clash of styles with the new DOF i.e.: Wilcox - recruited by Ankersen. So, instead of Marsch, we had: Selles - put in place to deliver the Ankersen/Wilcox model, which worked predictably badly with comical attempts to play out from the back, but Ankersen decides it's not his strategy that's wrong, so it must be Selles. He and Wilcox double down on the passing game, so we get: Russell Martin and we all lived happily ever after. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We’re doomed. No mention of Moyes or Cooper, by far the best two options.

Of course not; we require a slick, dapper well looked after type that is good for Social Media

They are British so will not be considered. Applies to David Moyes too.

It was the questions we had wrong. |

He'd be my choice too, but everyone on here has to get real, he turned down a job at AFC Ajax, so he's not coming to Saints in our current position.

After tonight’s offering, I’m still at about 2 ½ in that I’m still optimistic and hopeful that SR will pull a surprising rabbit out of the hat…umm well let’s see.
