QPR v Naaaarwich Match Thread 11:58 - Dec 6 with 36931 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Not spotted one, so thought I'd start my first match thread. Will we all get there, will the roof stay on, will QPR finally win at home? Ancient astronaut theorists say 'YES' to all of them. A hard fought 2-1 win (though I'd be happy with a point and beating Oxford midweek). U R's! [Post edited 6 Dec 16:21]

QPR v Naaaarwich Match Thread on 10:55 - Dec 8 by WatfordR | Very very fortunate that the elbow on Morgan wasn't spotted by any of the officials. Deliberate and an obvious red. Thought Norwich were more interested in moaning and putting in a lot of snidey little challenges than trying to play football, and they got everything they deserved. FWIW, I've always felt this team will finish the season much more strongly than it started. Lots of filling gaps in the squad with foreign imports that would probably take time to settle. Hopefully next season will be more about adding quality in a few positions. I'm not sure we won't end up comfortably closer to the play offs than the drop zone. [Post edited 8 Dec 10:55]

Agree with all of that. Also jusr read on their fans forum that their LB Fisher who had a torrid time with Smyth is right footed and struggles playing there. Might explain some of the fouls.

Performances have been improving over the last few weeks and confidence growing. Kolli MoM for me just shading Dunne who was superb today. Big shout outs to Saito, Morrison, Morgan, Varane, cook and Ashby, looking like a half decent team now. Not sure where we go when some of the injured players come back, apart from JCS, Frey and Dembele, will anyone else improve us. On a side note, got a haircut today with the Barbers against Prostate Cancer, got chatting to Sam Field (top man) he told us we would win 3-0, can’t believe I didn’t put a bet on 😂 Cmon U Rssss

Madsen got what looked like a naughty one right in front of the Stanley Bowles just before half time - haven't seen a replay but looked very high at the time. Referee was all over the place yesterday, had a passing resemblance to Rob Styles and wasn't much better than him. Nardi's booking for pissing about with the placement of a free kick probably fair, but then he let Norwich take every subsequent free kick from wherever they wanted. [Post edited 8 Dec 15:04]

Thank you and Nix for pointing this out its been completly overlooked.I mentioned it on the match thread and on another thread last night but Norwich should have been given 2 straight red cards (one on Morgan and one on Madsen ) yet not even a fcuking yellow the ref was a joke. Look at the red card Lewis got for Man City yesterday and compare it to the ankle breaker on Madsen yet nothing that is a travesty of justice .We got 5 yellow cards they got 2 and one was for the striker who abused the ref all day yet only got one for pushing our guy into the boards I simply give up. Ok I will calm down and wait for Clive's match report and see if its a 2 just because he did not give them a clear penalty otherwise a 0

Yeah the bookings we got was a puzzler. Don't get why they didn't have more and as you say some potential red cards. Also he allowed them to harrangue him all match without booking them for dissent. Not just one player but often three at once shouting in his face and gesticulating. For balance their fans thought he gave every decision our way.

From where I was sitting it looked like some of the decisions he gave our way were due to prompting from the lino rather than his own judgement but I could be wrong.

I think most fans believe that the referee gives every decision against their team Nix! Sometimes though, you take great delight when you know the officials have messed up & you take advantage.

Absolutely Terry. I don't think we've massively had good luck this season but this match favoured us overall I think. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
QPR v Naaaarwich Match Thread on 21:29 - Dec 8 with 890 views | mart_Goblin | Didn’t post yesterday as I was just too exhausted. But was overjoyed with the result and equally the performance . I thought you could see from the moment Sainz went down in the corner in the first couple of minutes they he, and they didn’t fancy that one bit . We wanted it more than they did especially first half . We did have a mad 5 minutes where we made 4 or 5 unbelievably bad errors but got through it and played some lovely football at times in some pretty horrendous conditions . Not had time to read what others think but will read about later this evening . But it felt so good to walk out of LR with a convincing win and performance . I thought Jimmy was great yesterday and that’s before I knew about his father . What a guy. My man of the match and well done to Kolli too. That’s what I call “grasping your chance with both hands “. Got to make it count on Wednesday now otherwise yesterday will be soon forgotten. But what a win!

QPR v Naaaarwich Match Thread on 20:42 - Dec 7 by dmm | When Kolli scored his second goal I thought Gunn was at fault in letting the ball go under his body. Having watched it several times now, although Gunn should have done better, I give much more credit to Kolli for striking early and going near post. In doing so it confounded Gunn into a half arsed attempt to save it. Great work, Rayan. |
Context. I didnt see Gunn do any different from Bachman last week. the difference being Kolli put in the right spot. If Kolli misses, the dialog is very different.
