SACK THE BOARD 09:21 - Nov 6 with 2600 viewsTheChef

Nothing will change till we have new owners who can actually make informed decisions about football without being taken in by chancers every single time.

I know being QPR we'll probably end up with even more incompetent/money grabbing loons; but we can't carry on with this lot.

The problem with Warburton has always been that he's a better businessman than anyone he works for. Getting Warburton back to oversee the business of the club would potentially be a smart move... Not that it will happen.

Never knowingly right.

Someone enlighten me on how Warburton will be a great DOF
Or are we just plucking random names out again

Ha!

Got to say I'd have him back as manager, even if he is poor at managing up. Although in mitigation I can't entirely blame him having to deal with our idiot owners.

You mean the owners sacking themselves?… even if the board voted to sack themselves (eg, “we’ve had enough, we’re selling”), there’s still that little problem of who buys their equity and cash flows the club… eg, Chris Wright ‘sacking himself’ which didn’t end too well.

…sacking the exec team - that’s a different matter.

Exactly totally crazy thread, the owners mainly Rubén are bank rolling the club ,without them we are finished and if we're not careful he might say F it and walk away, guess that means we go into administration.

However Hoos and the owners need to take responsibility for hiring Nourry who is way out of his depth and should get rid of him now.

If the owners walked away the club would continue. We'd have to cut our cloth accordingly, but we'd still be here. They've been nothing sort of a disaster since they walked in the door.

Warburtons a workaholic who's passion is football,

Two statements you couldn't make about our previous DoF (and I like Les as a bloke)

Warburton understands the limitations of a purely stats based recruitment model,

Warburton is an experienced business man who could help manage our sons of wealthy men owners,

Warburton knows the Championship and players suited to compete at this level,

And finally, Warburton had a clear attacking style of football Cifuentes doesn't, so he could help him here,

Other that the above.......

Sorry but after years of mismanagement and them cleaning up the messes they've constantly made, I'd take administration now.

Purge and cleanse.

Ok they walk away how exactly would the club continue unless the Fairy god mother provides a new owner, somebody has to pay all the bills, wages and debts.

We would undoubtedly go into administration and everything that goes with that, if lucky the National league like Luton, let's at least do something constructive like getting rid of Nourry.

OK sack Nourry and then our idiot owners will appoint another shyster.

Nothing will change at the club until they're gone!

Wow 14 games into a season and you are voting for administration, believe you me I was very pissed off last night, virtually speechless on the tube home but surely we have to show some fight and not just give up, that said I want Nourry out now.

People seem to have forgotten - or weren't around - when this happened before.

It was fúcking awful. - bucket collections to pay players' wages, being the target 'big name' for clubs to have a go at, worse refereeing, terrible away trips and grounds, half empty stadiums, shít football.

Be careful what you wish for.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

Yeah i understand it’s a ‘knee jerk reaction ‘ thread.

And without Ruben’s £2m a month etc etc .
We aren’t stupid .

But hopefully threads like this will make people think about what our owners, our Chairnan (wherever he is) and our CEO are doing to this club.
I stood and watched fans clap that team off last night . What exactly are you clapping ???
I shouted it and got shrugs …that’s it .
And it just seems like the fans are numb. We turn up , get beat and go home with barely a whimper. Just footballing zombies shuffling in and shuffling out .

We need to demand answers to what the plan is regarding so many things.
It’s not their club. They are custodians passing through . It’s our club. It’s ours as the customer and the lifeblood to start demanding answers to things like 13 wins from 50 home games.
And apart from 1 season under Warnock which immediately went to shite as soon as we lifted the trophy it’s been over 30 years off complete bollox.

The fans got behind the team amazingly in that second half .
There are people inside this club now relying and worse ,expecting that.
Until the spotlight is shone on the people behind the curtain, we’ll continue to die a slow painful death .
Because a lot of people won’t keep going to watch that guff and who can blame them .

Apologies for the rant but I’m so furious with so much at our club. The coach’s tactics and game management included last night . Shambles.
But the bigger picture is there is a bigger problem and until we all wake up and start making life uncomfortable for them then we’ll continue this downward spiral to the bottom of the barell

Apart from the unfounded digs at Ferdinand, there's a lot of hopeful thinking there, Parky.

Warburton has two years' experience as a DoF and that ended with differences between him and the club. The club went on to far greater success than Warburton did. He has also fallen out with people at Watford and at Loftus Road, of course.

Either way, he is far less experienced (edit - as a DoF) than Ferdinand was when he left and while I like Warburton and loved his football, and while he might possibly do a fine job for us here as DoF he has only a year's more experience in the DoF role than Nourry has in his.

I was there. Enjoyed it more than this shit show. Felt part of something at least - now feel my club slowly dying in front of me...and unable to do anything about it. Of course in an ideal world we survive this season, and not make the same mistakes again - but hand on heart...it doesn't look likely. We are all hurting, so let's just get things off our chest. It is better for your health 🙂

When this happened before, the monthly running cost for the club was a church tea party. If it happened today, £1.6m a month would mean liquidation by Christmas. Let’s lot kid ourselves.

Crazy thread.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but always felt that for whatever reason probably egos, falling out and Ferdinand and Hoos power plays etc, the big miss was not making Eustace team manager with Warburton as DoF in 2022. We have been sinking ever since Warburton was given his marching orders, personally thought he produced a much better football product than the slop we have had to put up with for the last 2 and a half years.

Agree 100%,

Warburton DoF & Eustace 1st Team Coach was as good as we were going to get, and self interest of a few effed it up,

And I'm not digging out Marti as in a club with a proper infrastructure he'll do fine.
