| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Yep - will England go for Potter perhaps ? Recent Prem experience and an FA style manager. Eddie Howe is another but wrong time. [Post edited 10 Oct 22:51]

I see Potter going to Me a cheater united. Ashworth took him from Swansea to Brighton. He is a free agent and great man manager. Very poor at recruitment though both at Swansea and Chelsea. He demanded control at Swansea but claimed no responsibility at Chelsea and forum dwellers accept he was blameless. I do not accept this passive approach.

Greece win away on 08:22 - Oct 11 with 1313 views | swancity | It reminded me an international match at the Vetch around 40 years ago when Wales played Iceland? with a lop sided ream packed with forwards which was imbalanced. England over loaded their midfield although didn’t play with an out an out number nine. It was a classic case of a coach trying to be too clever for his own good and for the good of the team and it failed miserably. The game is taking a new dimension in terms of the coaches trying to out do each other. Football in essence remains a simple game. It’s being over complicated and that was a classic example. Greece on the other hand were excellent. A good old fashioned performance. Defend as though your life depends on it and attack quickly and in numbers when you get the chance . Rocket science it certainly is not.

England are very lucky that they have found Carsley's limitations so soon, imagine if they had given him a contract. Another coach with ideas that are not well thought out.

There was another England involved in that match in 1982 - Wales manager Mike England. To be fair, that Wales side was packed with forwards, but were well on top and 1-0 up when the floodlights failed, and Iceland came out of that long stoppage a different team. Wales still had their chances and were 2-1 up in the 2nd half, but finished 2-2. Wales failed to qualify for the 1982 World Cup on goal difference.

Morning tiger Ok,I’m biased regarding Greeks We’ve spent many holidays there and visit our local Greek restaurant regularly Yiu can have. Real, conversation with them not just holiday jabber There are deeply cultural and their pride goes back to the beginning of civilisation. The country is still very poor in places but they know how to live and why is important in life . A true story In 1986,we were in Crete and were driving from Rethymnon to the south coast, a tricky journey .Wife was pregnant with second child and needed the toilet desperately . We stopped literally half way at a dusty rerun down cafe with two priests playing backgammon outside. In tow ,we had another couple who spoke fluent Greek Our son was very blond and that was it . They thought we were German . Crete suffered badly in the war and local men taken out for butchering as reprisals . One brought out a scrap book @fter he realised we were British . We spent two hours there ,gave up the trip and had food with the owners family . Blown away doesn’t begin to describe it

Media luvvie and box ticker Ian Wrighty Wright was pathetic at Euro 2006 or when ever it was. He could only name one of the Greece winning team. (Stelios) Papadopoulos was way beyond his mental capabilities. He was not there for his knowledge perhaps. I would have practiced in preparation. Papa dop oo los. Easy for people with brains.

I think you have Greece confused with Mesopotamia. The Greeks used to be well known Pederasts, Aristotle, Diodorus and Ovid were also fairly clearly racist. I mean, I like Greece, well the islands but lets not over egg them. Certain Swansea fans don'thave great memories of Athens

No confusion. Crete definitely was and is part of Greece ,and PAOK are based in Thessaloniki And my experience is positve but I’ve not been there for football . Foreigners view of our island in those times weren’t exactly great either
