Bella-Kotchap on 21:57 - Oct 1 with 1482 views | Saintcole7 | He does not want to play for us, another signing who has attitude, if Martin plays him and it will be as bad as it now and we will all then be saying it was desperation, just like having tall Paul on the bench last night, desperation? To have any chance in the PL we need to play our one of two quality players in there correct positions and in the starting lineup (KWP & Ramsdale) Sadly we needed two positions filled by quality at the beginning of the summer, goal keeper and striker, we got one (eventually) but you can't win football matches, at what ever level, without scoring goals! We spent millions on Diaz, Archer (Sheffield Utd strike force, say no more!) and two centre backs for the future, B'mouth spent that money on a striker (as always Saints charity steps in for his first goal), it just shows the priorities of the manager/board just who we are buying? Love him or hate him we needed to invest in a Mr Inges (the only real striker we could afford) to stand a chance this season. Instead we have lumbered ourselves with rubbish, not even good enough for next seasons promotion push and worst of all any promising youngsters will see this and bugger off? Total overall needed, owerners, board, manager and team!

And that's not going to happen in the near future The way it is at the moment is that we will have to endure a few years in the Champ and SR realising they are not going to make the money and end up selling us on the cheap God knows where we will end up then. You never know, there could be another Marcus out there?

Do you ever wonder why so many players bought don’t improve? Bella Kotchap started well for us and even got a call up from Germany. Tall Paul was a prolific goal scorer all be it in a lesser league was given little chance under two of our poorest managers. There are numerous others whose form drop when joining us. The problem is more to do with off the pitch than on it.

I think this is a valid point and I still believe many of this squad are good players. It is down to how we set up and style of play. It doesn't really matter who we have up front if there is no service, and the club are happy to play around with the ball in our own half creating nothing, and with an obsession with possession stats. Some of the players who got worse here, to the extent we all agreed we needed to get rid of them, have surprised us by going on on to do quite well at other clubs. Lemina, for example, is captain and regularly Man of the Match for Wolves and even Vestergaard has helped Leicester win a Championship title and is still a regular for them in the Premier League. The problem with Bella-Kotchap is that he was used to higher standards at his previous clubs and made it known that he was unhappy with the way the club was being managed. He then started making his feelings known to the other players. That's why Martin doesn't want him anywhere near the team. It will, of course, not be a big surprise if Bella-Kotchap goes on to do very well at his next club. He's a German international defender. But no manager wants a player who makes it clear that he doesn't respect him. [Post edited 2 Oct 10:18]

All the more reason to ditch RM and wipe the slate clean for the squad. Bella-Kotchap is arguably our best central defender. KWP should be an automatic starter - especially in the PL - but has dropped out of favour for some strange reason? You don't have to be Einstein to realise RM has his favourites & they get picked ahead of more skilful, capable players... because they laugh & joke with RM over at Staplewood and lick his arse. The ones that have 'bought into' the tippy tappy style & don't create a fuss and play - while the ones with the nous and belief of how the game "should" be played are given the cold shoulder. That's how it appears to me anyway.

Bella-Kotchap on 11:52 - Oct 2 with 833 views | Berber | As has been stated dozens of times on numerous threads. The manager needs to come up with a style of playing that suits the resources in his squad. RM has no intention of doing this, by his own admission. A significant part of the squad has been recruited on his watch. This shambles is down to him.
