The 20MPH punishments 08:34 - Aug 3 with 141216 views | SullutaCreturned | Well the punishment for breaking the limit, https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/police-confirm-how-punish-drivers- Given how many idiots are on the roads, the delivery drivers under pressure and the actual difficutly in staying below 20 (it is difficult, I do it every week when I go to Cardiff and it's harder than you'd think, specially going downhill) there will be a lot of speeding going on. The Senedd expect the fire brigade to become a road safety unit, how stupid is that? The fire brigade have their job and it's hard enough for them to do that the way the Senedd behaves. Then there's the pollution problem, all those cars tootling around in second gear will fill the streets with pollution, it'll rise and rise and the few accidents stopped by this madness will be replaced tenfold and more in the years to come by serious health issues, those with asthma can look out, better buy your respirators now. I wonder if cancers will also increase? By the time we have all gone electric, assuming we all do, thousands of lives will be blighted by illness.

The 20MPH punishments on 09:41 - Aug 23 by felixstowe_jack | Looks like the tour of Wales cycle race has decended into farce this year. The route has been changed and shortened to avoid any section that has a 20mph limit. The 20mph limit does not apply to cyclist but does apply to all the support vehicles which cannot keep up with the cyclist. It even prevents the police motorbikes from doing their job of closing roads ahead of the race and opening them after the race has passed . The police motorbikes could not overtake the cyclist in 20 mph zones. |

The reversal should be done by those in the Senedd leaving 20 mph zones outside schools & hospitals. They were quick enough to waste our money putting it in; they should reverse it without councils having to apply. Let's hope they didn't throw the 30 signs out; otherwise, that would cost us even more money.

It being the most anglicised part of Wales ,it should also rip up the bilingual signs after renaming places like New Brighton ( near Mold) then scrap the compulsory welsh speaking for jobs

It’s been given a welsh name It’s never been known as a welsh village and little welsh spoken there . It’s mainly a commuter village for those working in Chester and England ,as is the case with many villages in Fllint Fflint Flint . Utter madness

And why do they do that? Maybe because it makes it easier to "adjust" data and give the "right" results. My by now deeply ingrained cynicism towards all things politic may be showing through

Well complaint still is about the shoddy way they handled the whole thing and wasted millions doing so, obviously if they saved lives it's a good thing but I've yet to see the evidence. I have noticed quite a few deaths on Welsh roads since this though so I'd really like to know.
