Could be?? 19:36 - Aug 11 with 6894 views | SAINTSNIL | NEW Daily Mail report has claimed Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has lost the trust of some of his players. The St Mary’s side got off to a disappointing start in their Premier League season with a 4-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day, following a poor run of form in the previous campaign. The Daily Mail claim they have been told of unrest and dissent within the dressing room, during Saturday’s heavy loss. The report adds several players were surprised the Austrian, who arrived at Staplewood in December 2018 and has kept the club in the Premier League under difficult conditions, was not sacked this summer. Daily Echo: They claim some players spoke to senior members of the Saints hierarchy to express their concerns over Hasenhuttl’s management, after the team won just once in their final league 13 matches. Hasenhuttl is under contract at Saints until 2024, when he has publicly announced his current intention to retire from football management, the report adding there is no appetite to change boss now. Saints parted ways with three first-team coaches in the summer, replacing Kelvin Davis, Dave Watson and Craig Fleming with Ruben Selles, Alex Clapham and Carl Martin. Daily Echo: Hasenhuttl also has a big squad — 27 players vying for 11 places when all fit — and so some of his players have seen reduced involvement over the past few months. The report further details sources claims that Hasenhuttl is becoming more detached from his squad, with increased tension behind the scenes and even the new coaches harbouring misgivings. When approached by the Daily Echo on the report, Saints declined to comment.

It is simple if the club act what we dont need is a winless run stretching to november with unrest and us adrift in the bottom 3 without him gone If this is true (AND its the scum Mail so tbc) then he needs to be gone now and fresh blood hired Who though?

Very true. 1 win and 2 draws in our last 13 league games would work out at a total of 15 points if the same form continued over a whole season.

Defeat at the w/e would be grim but the key moment will be 1st October. Prior to that we play Wolves, Brentford, Villa & Everton. If we're not comfortably mid-table by then I think a change will be inevitable. For the business model to work it's essential that we're in in the Premier League. We're not going to attract & showcase the best young talent otherwise. [Post edited 11 Aug 2022 21:29]

With Ralph's inevitable departure looking more likely, my choice would be Sean Dyche. Many would disagree and he probably wouldn't fit the owners' philosophy but He is used to working on a tight budget. He can sort out a defence and we are desperate for that. He has PL experience. He was once mentioned for the England job. But you know what, we will more likely find some guy from the 2nd tier of a foreign league, who says all the right things about bringing through young players.

Fewer and fewer people are defending Ralph and this talk of player unrest is new, if unsurprising (if we’re baffled by his decisions, imagine what it’s like for the players). If we lose to Leeds (having taken the lead) how can he possibly survive?

That is true, but this Saturday will be interesting. This weekend's performance will answer a lot of questions. Presumably, if they want Ralph out, the players will down tools this Saturday. Semmens will have to act if we keep playing terribly and keep getting beat. The pressure will become immense. But we might well put in a performance Saturday, with all this criticism. We shall see, will be interesting. .

So you believe that everything is fine, and that the players could not be happier under Hassenhutl, rendering this story a complete fabrication? I had been hearing about the loss of faith from the players, which was compounded by his ultra arrogant attitude from a source at the club....Indeed I've brought it up on here in the last couple of weeks, mainly as speculation, but it's no surprise to me to see this report, which has been picked up by other newspapers also. I imagine all hell will let loose if they lose against Leeds.

And why not? She has proven herself at a much higher level and has a lot more to crow about than bloody RH. And also she has the benefit of not being an arrogant idiot.

I’m no fan of Ralph but she hasn’t proven herself at a higher level

Would you give the job to a non league manager? It’s probably that equivalent.

Our best striker left after a falling out with Ralph both last season and the one before that...neither wanted to be around him for another season. Seems he's now moved on to fuking Che off..hes got previous as we all can clearly see. [Post edited 12 Aug 2022 6:58]

Yes, but only some of us could clearly see.
Could be?? on 09:28 - Aug 12 with 4586 views | pjt50 | I doubt if there's a single Premier League club where there isn't conflict between the manager and some of the players. It's a high-pressured environment. Add to the mix that only 11 players can start, and that most footballers have such high opinions of themselves, and it's inevitable. When a club's successful it's a non-story. When it isn't, the popular press is always looking to make something out of nothing.

Semmens views are trumped by those of SR. They will be the ones who act if Semmens won't. If they have anything about them they won't leave it too long because this whole football club is currently in a death dive.

Yes, I hated the way Ralph and Semmens smirked at the fans forum when mentioning Broja and saying he stopped playing last season during our bad run in. What about the other players who contributed to that shocking run not to mention Ralph himself and his coaches? To single out a very young player once again demonstrates a lack of man management skills and a tendency to deflect blame away from himself.
