T' T20 & th'Ashes & NZ24 13:02 - Oct 25 with 28720 views | D_Alien | Great to see Ben Stokes will be fit for the Ashes https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/59022351 The touring conditions will be particularly onerous this time round, so hope he's in a good place mentally too But first up - the T20 World Cup, and a great start against WI, our nemesis in the last Final [Post edited 30 Nov 12:17]

We could have done with a few hat-tricks.

Lancs provides the number 11 batters in both womens and mens to bat out the final overs.

Yes! Got up early for the last hour, every bit as dramatic as their male counterparts Looking forward to the T20 shoot-out in Barbados tonight

They edged it and its been very entertaining in January UK to see people enjoying the games out in the hot Caribbean I'm a fan of WI cricket, and there's the test series to come in March. England lost 3-2, but cricket won

Yes, a proper thrashing on their home turf We have a 3-test series starting in NZ on Thursday, and i reckon Ben Stokes will be keen to regain some of the gloss that's been wiped off recently New no.3 in Jacob Bethell with Pope taking the keeping gloves on a temporary basis (Smith unavailable) but i hope Bethell does enough to make that spot his own

T' T20 & th'Ashes on 09:04 - Nov 26 with 1737 views | EllDale | The Aussies are already starting the psychological sniping although it’s a fair way until the Ashes. Darren Lehmann criticised Joe Root yesterday by saying that he’d never be regarded as a Test great until he scored a century in Australia!

I wouldn't say he "criticised" him, more that he was just making an observation when asked the question. The merits of that observation are a different matter.

Yep, they beat India 3-0 before England arrived on tour Had some luck with dropped catches, but these things tend to even themselves out [Post edited 30 Nov 12:59]

T' T20 & th'Ashes on 18:52 - Nov 30 by downunder | It is a beautiful sunny day again, so NZ will not be saved by the weather. With an ageing Southee, no Boult, and a pitch that is unlikely to take spin, it looks like a win for the home captain! |
Ha yeah! But i'm sorry to hear they've shot their Boult

Certainly has the world at his feet but that was one sloppy way to get out. Bad decision to go for the run, bad decision not to try and recover and bad timing in the last over before the break.

Just as well he'd scored more than the majority of his team-mates combined really, isn't it....

Not a bad position to be in. Excellent contributions by Atkinson and Bethell shows the selectors might know what they are on about. Carse has also contributed again. I read an article saying that county red ball matches are often played on pitches at the edges of the square with often give a really short boundary which is not conducive to fast bowling. With three days to go just keep batting and wear the pitch a bit more.

I think they will let Root and possibly Stokes get to a hundred then declare. Should achieve both in the first session tomorrow assuming no wickets. Then 8 sessions to bowl them out, or for them to get over 650 runs. Fancy our chances !!
