Yes of course. As I said the club has no power to issue an ‘ultimatum’. Unless they are prepared to sack him and pay him off, he has a year to look around. The real ultimatum for him should be that he is unlikely to get so lucky again and so now is his best time to put his agent to work to actually earn his coin.
