They were dreadful last 25 minutes. Completely fell apart. Their game seems to be all about running and individual skill but when that isn’t working they’ve got nothing.

Content with a draw but we could have won that in the last quarter. Never mind, some good things to take away - Dykes in particular!

It's so nice having centrebacks who can pass. Makes for much more entertaining football.

Good draw.

Appreciating the effort, this hasn’t happened in previous seasons.

Should have won that but will take the point. Very strong down the stretch against a team holding on to a playoff spot by a thread.

Probably just about fair, thought we might nick it at the end but thats getting greedy! Thought Willock was really good when he came on, everything good came through him

Good shift from the lads, disappointed with a point away at 6th in the league is progress. Encouraging signs.

Fair play to Warbs though, when they had a purple patch he made changes which turned the game quickly. Happy with that, good point away from home.

Never knowingly understood

Happy. Decent point.

Exactly (EXACTLY) the same record (P37, 50 pts, 12th place, GD minus 4!!) as last term - that is a real achievement when you throw in the -40 goals Eze/Hugill/Wells factor. A well-earned international break all round for most of our lads. Good luck and good goal, Lyndon.

I thought Lyndon Dykes put a master class at centre forward today. Watching the Reading feed, the commentators rated him very highly.

Agreed. Happy with a point but thought we deserved 3. Good point about Warburton's subs changing the game in our favour. I did question him taking off Chair at the time.

Thought the same overall. Think we actually should have won it but glad there weren't any further serious Ejaria moments, that I noticed anyway.

I fear Ball may have broken a rib or something in that clash down on the left. He was properly hurt. Willock the Whisp was quality again.

In a season when what's the point of it all, another mostly enjoyable effort.

Would have been happy with a point before hand - result could have gone either way but we finished strongly.

Ref was awful - gave soft free kicks to Reading continually, then the same challenge on us wasn't given. He refereed on the basis of who shouted loudest, same as when we played Brentford away. Quite frankly, it's embarrassing that professional officials are so easily influenced.

And how come we didn't get a penalty when the reading defender handled the ball on the floor?

We played well after our subs, Reading almost fell apart after theirs. Their, very experienced, keeper appeared to be about to die of fright every time he released the ball. Maybe the pressure is beginning to tell?

Yeah was thinking watching that how annoyed I'd be by them if those were my hoops.

Very decent performance and good honest shift from ourselves. Promising signs all round.

A Warbs "fine margins" game. They were well on top early on, we weathered the storm and ended the half well. They started the second half well (were we sitting back a bit?) and before and after the goal we looked shaky.

But then the last 15-20 mins they seemed to fall apart somewhat and only one team was going to win that.

And just imagine the pelters Lumley would have got for that goal! Yes, Seny has some credit in the bank, but that was poor.

The Lyndon and Lee revival continues - gwan my boys!

Can we go out yet?

Willock-the-wisp, very nice.

I tried a Monty Burns 'Willers' for a while but that might have sounded a bit 'rugby' thinking about it. This does seem a bit more accurate and thanks for the proper spelling.

FT REPORT
We could have - perhaps should have won this match.
But would we have settled for a 1-1 draw before the game started?
Defiinitely.
We finished so strongly - several chances.
Johansen and Wallace just failing to finish off some good moves.
A rocky period after HT especially when the injured de Wijs had to come off.
But Warburton's later subs Willock and Ball - replacing Charlie and Chair - proved very effective and for the last 20-25 we looked like a top 10 side.
Sixth placed Reading had an ace in their pack - Ejaria.
He certainly caught the eye with some splendid footwork but not enough for a home side that really did struggle in the closing stages.
Johansen and Field were again effective for us in midfield.
Wallace, 34 in August, has surprised us all with his 'up and down' the left flank.
Chair's defence splitting pass to Wallace and onto Dykes was magnificent just before HT.
Dykes at last scoring - we've all waited for that since the end of November.
Just a shame that Dieng allowed the ball to go through his legs for the Reading equaliser.
That was after Barbet, who did berate himself, failed in a tackle that eventually led to the goal.
However a very satisfying almost 3 months of 2021 - 29 points from 15 games.
We remain 12th two points behind today's winners Millwall and Stoke but have a game in hand.
Hopefully de Wijs and Ball - injured late on - recover well before our next match on Friday week home to Coventry.
