🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 01:18 - Sep 29 with 215657 views | Dr_Parnassus | Who will be watching? First one kicks off in 24 hours time. The Democrats have pulled Joe back from his campaign trail recently to get him prepared, so hopefully it will be a decent exchange. Unfortunately they don’t seem to have great confidence as they have spent the last month looking for any dirt they can dig up so Joe can use if he gets stuck. It’s no coincidence that this vote influencing Facebook algorithm story is being shamelessly and inaccurately made into a race issue on the eve of the debates. So transparent and disingenuous, it’s a shame politics has come to this on this level where black people are being used in this way to score political points. I would be furious if I was them, but it does seem a lot of people are not falling for this one and calling it out for what it is. People finally seem to be getting wise to this political race baiting which is refreshing to see. It’s also telling that in the week of the debate they try and paint Trump as a tax evasion offender. I think that’s what they wanted the tax returns to show, they seem to have got annoyed when it turns out his tax returns were fine in accordance to what his companies profits were - but decided to run with it anyway. Any news is good news in their mind as it’s another thing Joe can use when in a tricky spot. But I hope the discussions remain political and doesn’t turn into some form of gossip peddling reality TV episode. Although I think there should be some kind of drinking game involved if it does turn that way, how many times Biden completely loses his thread of thought and blurts out “I mean, think about it...” you have to take a shot. I will be watching with great interest anyway.

🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 on 23:01 - Nov 3 by DJack | Previously the mail (ballot) could take three days now it's five. The date stamp bit is to allow for the vagaries of a partially defunded postal service. I don't know about the signature bit |
What are you talking about? I haven’t made a point of the delay, you are adding that in for your strawman argument. The time stamp was to ensure it was a legal ballot placed in time. Now if they don’t get the result they want they can send more ballots in with unreasonable motivation and from a point of knowledge, that’s the opposite of a democratic poll, hence they do not need a time stamp anymore and also do not need signature verification. So now you understand, I accept your apology again. It would help if you understood the post first before jumping in. Seems to be a trait of the left on this thread. Lastly the postal service has not been defunded, that’s a lie.

No appology from me. The removal of the timestamp stops the rejection of ballots by poorly printed/illegible timestamps - the post office may not be defunded per se but the Trump donor has messed with the service in a manner to cause issues with this election https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/postal-service-cri As to a democratic poll there has only been one side heavily gerrymandering districts, there is only one side that continually purges voter rolls, there is only one side that continaully makes it harder for people to vote, there is only one side that continually tries to get the courts to discount legitimate votes. Only one of the sides continually tries to steal the vote.

Then you should be apologising, I can only assume you are not offering one to save face, so I shall accept anyway, at least I know I have done the right thing. What the official line is for the removal of the time stamps is irrelevant, it’s the effect it will have is what I am interested in. Just like Universal mail in ballots have an official line of “safety”, in reality that isn’t why it was allowed. If you give everyone 3 ballots and the official line is “just incase some get lost”, that doesn’t mean the outcome is a good one. So why you are stating the obvious of the official reasoning is beyond me, the reasoning was not my concern - my concern was the result of that action.

She is wonderful yes. I find it amusing that people champion black voices and female voices.... unless they disagree with them and then they become the subject of attack. It’s delicious irony every time I see it.

Or maybe the truth snuck out... Anyhoo I'll leave you to it. Either way tomorrow is going to be a shitstorm (unless it is a Joe landslide) so I wont waste this evening and I'll await tomorrows pain.

So you don’t think Hunter holding 10% for the big guy is Joe? Remember it wasn’t long ago you were claiming these were made up by the Russians.

🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 on 00:49 - Nov 4 with 962 views | Dr_Parnassus | The price is now exactly where I said it should be and forecast earlier. 60:40 chance for Biden. Going to be a big few hours. Certainly no landslide as these polls were ridiculously predicting. Votes significantly up for Trump from Black and Hispanic voters from 2016.
