🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 01:18 - Sep 29 with 209418 views | Dr_Parnassus | Who will be watching? First one kicks off in 24 hours time. The Democrats have pulled Joe back from his campaign trail recently to get him prepared, so hopefully it will be a decent exchange. Unfortunately they don’t seem to have great confidence as they have spent the last month looking for any dirt they can dig up so Joe can use if he gets stuck. It’s no coincidence that this vote influencing Facebook algorithm story is being shamelessly and inaccurately made into a race issue on the eve of the debates. So transparent and disingenuous, it’s a shame politics has come to this on this level where black people are being used in this way to score political points. I would be furious if I was them, but it does seem a lot of people are not falling for this one and calling it out for what it is. People finally seem to be getting wise to this political race baiting which is refreshing to see. It’s also telling that in the week of the debate they try and paint Trump as a tax evasion offender. I think that’s what they wanted the tax returns to show, they seem to have got annoyed when it turns out his tax returns were fine in accordance to what his companies profits were - but decided to run with it anyway. Any news is good news in their mind as it’s another thing Joe can use when in a tricky spot. But I hope the discussions remain political and doesn’t turn into some form of gossip peddling reality TV episode. Although I think there should be some kind of drinking game involved if it does turn that way, how many times Biden completely loses his thread of thought and blurts out “I mean, think about it...” you have to take a shot. I will be watching with great interest anyway.

So let me see, the head of DNS doesn't count for you, the Senate Oversight Committeee doesn't count for you. Many non government people don't count for you including Hunter Biden's business partner. Sorry I am all out out of any more links. Whereas all the Democrats have are their own controlled mass media, no official sources at all.

🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 on 17:59 - Oct 21 by Highjack | In a discussion on another thread about evidence against Trump being allegedly swept under the carpet or ignored for political gain an Honourable member said this to me: “Yes mate. You and I have different political viewpoints but we both agree that good governance and accountability is a must“ I therefore hope the honourable gentleman would agree that despite any personal political leanings and desire to see Biden triumph over Trump, any suggestion of corruption, cash for influence or abusing public office for personal and financial gain must be investigated fully and any guilty parties should be held accountable as this does not indicate good governance. |
Where on this thread have I argued otherwise. All I argued was that this looks like a smear just like the birther conspiracy and the Hilary's emails smear...strangely enough much like current events all promoted by the conservatives. I have, on a number of ocasions stated that if any criminality is attributed (by a court of law) to Hunter Biden then he deserves all that he gets I will also note that I didn't see you pipe up when Mitch McConnell said that the Republicans wouldn't even look at the impeachment evidence. You also didn't pipe up when Trump stated that he could get campaign funds for drilling licences from the CEO of ExxonMobil - if not illegal, definitely morally repugnant. Nor when Trump ordered ByteDance to sell TikTok to a US company and demanded that the US Government get a cut. I was wrong about you but that's on me as I was unsure which of your faces I was talking to.

The DNI is a political appointee who has previously pushed a conspiracy theory. The Senate Oversight Committe has two parts...one Democrat and one Republican. I can guess which part has joined in on this, can you!

🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 on 15:19 - Oct 21 by Dr_Parnassus | I think you are the only one left on the planet who has any question marks over the veracity of the emails and it has been explained exactly why that is, well maybe DJack too - although he seemed to wave the white flag of realisation towards the end. Happy for you to show me something credible that states they are anything other than what they obviously appear to be. I’ll give you 23 hours to provide something, otherwise we had better go with what the likes of the Director of intelligence and the like say on it. |
"well maybe DJack too - although he seemed to wave the white flag of realisation towards the end." Bullshit. I said that things had got interesting but there was still only one confirmed fact and that was inconsequential. As I've previously posted (at least twice) the DNI is a political appointee who has previously pushed a conspiracy theory.

Oh come on, you’re better than that. You’re doing exactly what the Trump fanboys are doing. Just arbitrarily dismissing anything negative about your hero as “fake news” because you don’t like it. The information on this laptop is explosive for two reasons: A) It confirms that Hunter has been in contact with people offering to pay him huge amounts of money solely because of the Biden name and the influence it has. 2) It suggests that Joe was party to this arrangement and was taking a 10% cut himself. Now all of this might be absolute bollocks. Hunter is obviously a seriously dodgy malaka. I doubt it would be beyond him to use his fathers name to get extraordinarily rich without any knowledge or consent from Joe, and these emails may reflect that. But these are serious allegations. Nobody is suggesting that Trump is not an incredibly naughty boy too, I’m sure he’s been up to all sorts of dodgy stuff in his past. But it all should be investigated, not just the people you disagree with. Otherwise we’ll be stuck with the perpetual choice between these corrupt mother truckers forever.

🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 on 00:33 - Oct 22 with 1168 views | DJack | It's quite funny that Dr_P banged on how it would be wrong to defund the police and yet he stays quiet when a Trump appointee stops his police from working. Dr_P you have no scruples. "In late August, the United States Postal Service issued a directive ordering its postal police officers to end their patrol duties, sparking a lawsuit from the officers' union and concerns about the security of mail-in ballots just weeks before the election. The order directed officers to "end all mail-protection and other law-enforcement activity away from the confines of postal real estate," the Postal Police Officers Association said in its September complaint against the agency and Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. The USPS employs around 455 uniformed officers who conduct patrols meant to safeguard mail collection boxes, delivery vehicles, and buildings against theft, as well as another 1,300 plainclothes detectives who collectively work to ensure the security of the mail, according to The Wall Street Journal. Postal police union members told The Wall Street Journal last week that they had no evidence to suggest the order has compromised election-mail security. But Jim Bjork, a retired letter carrier and officer as well as a representative for the PPOA, told the paper that if undermining trust in election-mail security wasn't the goal: "then why not wait until after the election to neuter the postal police?" "If I was going to undermine public trust in the mail, one of the first things I would do is pull postal police off the street," PPOA president Frank Albergo told The Wall Street Journal, adding it was especially concerning that order came so close to the election. The order came just a day after DeJoy testified under oath to members of Congress that he would pause further organizational changes to the USPS until after the election, according to The Wall Street Journal. The USPS has faced legal and political scrutiny under the leadership of DeJoy, a close Trump ally who has attempted to make sweeping cost-cutting changes to the agency such as removing more than 700 mail-sorting machines. Some of those changes have been challenged in court, including in lawsuits from seven US states. The political backlash, mostly from Democratic lawmakers, surged after Trump publicly admitted in August that he intended to block additional funding and election assistance for the USPS, in a year when millions of Americans are expected to turn to mail-in voting due to the coronavirus pandemic. Trump has repeatedly railed against mail-in voting, despite assurances from experts, and even DeJoy and Republican senators, that mail-in voting is safe." https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/usps-sidelines-postal-police-off

1) How is it inconsequential? It showed Biden lied about his involvement in his sons business dealing and shows that he is hiding equity and payments from the State. 2) How are you making a case that real emails made their way onto a fabricated hard drive? Or did the Russians just make a lucky guess and happened to write out an actual email chain including recipients word for word? 3) I don’t understand why you assume that if someone is a political employee, they can no longer do their job. You do understand nobody has denied that they are real don’t you? Not even the Biden’s. 4) Why would Bidens lawyer ask for a hard drive back that didn’t exist from a shop Hunter had never been to of which his signature was on the receipt?

🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 on 01:08 - Oct 22 with 1148 views | DJack | "Two weeks until Election Day, social media is rife with attacks on Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden. A New York Post story about a recovered computer hard drive led to attacks about the Biden son’s business dealings. Facebook and cable news have gone further to suggest new and unsupported theories about what’s on the hard drive. One text post says, "Hunter Biden had 25,000 pics of him torturing and raping children under age 10 in China on his laptop!" Claims like this were amplified by websites like Natural News and InfoWars. Facebook has long banned the sites for posting anti-vaccine misinformation and hate speech, but we found one InfoWars video on Facebook with more than 173,000 views. It claims Trump "has footage of Hunter Biden raping and torturing little girls." These posts were flagged as part of Facebook’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Facebook.) Similar posts have been shared tens of thousands of times, according to CrowdTangle, a social media insights tool. We can’t say for certain what is or isn’t on a hard drive. But there is no evidence to support allegations that it contains thousands of images of Hunter Biden abusing children in China. The unproven claim has roots on a fringe internet forum that’s a known source of online disinformation, 4chan. On Oct. 15, Chanel Rion, the chief White House correspondent for One America News Network – a pro-Trump cable TV network – tweeted that she had seen the contents of the hard drive at the center of the New York Post story. "Drugs, underage obsessions, power deals," she said in the post. "Druggie Hunter makes Anthony Weiner's down under selfie addiction look normal." The tweet, which was shared more than 53,000 times, then made its way to 4chan, where users anonymously speculated that it meant the FBI was investigating Hunter Biden. One user posing as Rion affirmed that speculation, saying the hard drive contained child pornography. The real Rion tweeted Oct. 16 that she did not write the posts. "For the record: I do not post on chat forums," she wrote. "I understand there are hoaxers posing as me." But it was too late. Social media users dedicated to QAnon, a baseless conspiracy theory that claims Trump is secretly fighting a cabal of Satan-worshipping, cannibalistic, left-leaning pedophiles, took the 4chan posts as evidence that the FBI was investigating Hunter Biden for potentially possessing child pornography. By Sunday, the conspiracy theory had made its way to Fox News. "Sunday Morning Futures" host Maria Bartiromo noted that a name written on the back of a federal subpoena included in the Post’s story appears to belong to Joshua Wilson, an FBI agent who has worked on child pornography cases. "Connect the dots: If an FBI agent is working on child pornography issues for five years, why is he subpoenaing the laptop of Hunter Biden? Is there a connection here?" Bartiromo asked Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis. Johnson did not give a direct answer. "Well, I think you just made the connection," he said. "Again, this is what the FBI, I think, has to come clean about." Later that day, a tweet from Wayne Allyn Root, a conservative radio host who has pushed false claims about former President Barack Obama’s birthplace and the identity of the 2017 Las Vegas shooter, claimed to have breaking news. "My sources-as high up as it gets- watched videos on Hunter’s laptops TODAY. Just told me point blank...no rumor...they saw Hunter raping & torturing little Chinese children," he tweeted. When asked in an email for evidence to support his claims aside from anonymous sources, Root did not provide any. Concerns about the New York Post story There’s a lot we still don’t know about the hard drive at the center of the New York Post coverage. The story about Joe Biden and a Ukraine meeting relies on information from a computer hard drive that the tabloid said it received from Trump’s personal lawyer, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani. The computer was supposedly left unclaimed at a Delaware computer shop, the owner of which called the FBI and a Giuliani associate after noticing a sticker for the Beau Biden Foundation on the laptop. The emails cited in the Post’s article, which we are not able to verify, do not establish that a meeting between the elder Biden and a Ukrainian businessman ever occurred. Nowhere in the Post’s story is Hunter Biden linked to child pornography. We reached out to the FBI for more information, but it declined to comment due to its practice of "neither confirming nor denying the existence of an investigation." Remember these points as you see claims about the laptop and stories around it. It's unclear if the name on the back of the subpoena actually belongs to Joshua Wilson, or if there’s more than one FBI agent who goes by that name. It’s also unconfirmed if the subpoena in the Post’s story was for the laptop. Federal investigators are looking into whether emails found on the laptop could be linked to a foreign intelligence operation to discredit Joe Biden. (More than 50 former intelligence officials told Politico they appear to be. Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe says they’re not.) Staffers at the Post expressed concerns about the story’s credibility before it was published. Fox News passed on the story until the emails could be properly vetted. The owner of the computer repair shop told reporters that, while he couldn’t confirm it was Hunter Biden who dropped off the laptop because he is "legally blind," he also said he didn't see child pornography on the computer. No other news organizations have seen or corroborated the data supposedly on the laptop's hard drive. We reached out to the Biden campaign for a comment, but we haven’t heard back. Our ruling Several Facebook posts claim "Hunter Biden had 25,000 pics of him torturing and raping children under age 10 in China on his laptop." There is no evidence to support that. The allegation originated on an anonymous internet forum that’s a known source of online disinformation, and conspiracy websites that reported the claims relied on anonymous sources to back them up. The New York Post’s story about Hunter Biden’s laptop is unconfirmed – but it also does not mention child pornography. The owner of the computer repair shop where the laptop came from told reporters he didn’t see child pornography on it. Without information to support the allegations, we rate the posts False. https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/oct/20/facebook-posts/fact-checking-u Obviously the article is not definative proof but is of greater merit than the sensational claims being made online.

Such nonsense. That false rating (because they don’t have the information to decide) is for the following allegation:- “Hunter Biden had 25,000 pics of him torturing and raping children under age 10 in China on his laptop.” Very convenient you decided to not share that vital piece of information..... wonder why. It is a fact that the hard drive has been handed in to the police due to pictures and texts showing child pornography were on there. Which of course is what we are discussing, nothing to do with what politifact is talking about. Nice try. [Post edited 22 Oct 2020 1:19]

🇺🇸Presidential debate round 1 - “Matchday thread”🇺🇸 on 01:22 - Oct 22 with 1140 views | DJack | Oh dear. You introduce strawman arguements with regularity at the best of times but this post is LITTERED with them. Any comments on DeJoy stopping his police working, anything to say om Rudy's cameo in the new Borat film. How about Trump saying that he only went campaigning to Erie as his campaign is going so badly. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-pennsylvania-rally-only-there-his-campaign No, it's going so badly you want everyone to keep focussed on the Hunter Biden allegations which could have been made a year ago. IN FACT IF IT WAS LEGIT IT SHOULD HAVE.

B) is not shit stirring. I quote: “ Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” The Biden camp has denied any such meeting took place. Somebody is obviously lying. They were desperate to get the laptop back. Which of course is what we are discussing, nothing to do with what politifact is talking about. Nice try. [Post edited 22 Oct 2020 1:19]

It was the same Rudy Giuliani who stated that he was going to the Ukraine to get dirt on the Bidens, the same Giuliani who works with a Ukrainian the Treasury Ofice states is a Russian asset, the same Giuliani who he himself rates the chances that the Ukranian is a russian asset is 50/50. It is THAT GIULIANI WHO CLAIMS THERE IS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY on the hard drive.

So just to confirm, you are defending a man’s hard drive and the contents of child pornography (as well as texts, previous financial trails not on that hard drive that show underage and illegal sexual practice)... even though you fully admit the only part that has been able to be corroborated so far has turned out to be true. That is interesting shall we say. [Post edited 22 Oct 2020 1:47]

More bullshit from you. I've repeatedly stated this needs to be looked at by a court, just not a conservative kangaroo court.

Right, so you aren’t denying they exist or telling us that it’s a Russian hoax then. Phew. We agree.

So the Russians just happened to write out word for word some real incriminating emails, including real times, real people, real email addresses when they were creating all the thousands of fake emails for the fake hard drive? Sounds plausible.

Hunter Biden’s former business partner who released 26,000 emails to show his corruption has been moved for his own protection. These emails seem to be equally as explosive on the political corruption front:-
