Most people living in a country won’t have a clue unless they work in banking, financial services, or run big businesses.
Many people here couldn’t explain the difference between deficit and debt, have a clue what quarterly growth figures are and how they compare historically between different governments and so on. Nor would they know relative measures of unemployment and how the numbers are affected by policy change.
