Has Ranieri lost the plot? 17:17 - Feb 13 with 3782 views | Bournedore | "Their first two shots were goals". What apart from Morgan's block of siggy's shot with his arm and routledge's volley you mean...? Not surprised some of their fans want him gone. It's the delusion (a la bb) that worries the most...
Has Ranieri lost the plot? on 17:20 - Feb 13 with 3752 views | swancity | No he hasn't Hes no different to last season when he pulled off the most remarkable ever league win, but his players aren't reaching the same levels. Nowhere near. Hope this helps you.

What do you expect, he's got one season wonder Steptoe Jnr leading his attack. Bet Southgate is thrilled too. [Post edited 13 Feb 2017 18:32]

Has Ranieri lost the plot? on 18:31 - Feb 13 with 3473 views | TheKirkyLife | Ranieri is part of the problem in that he hasn't dropped the underperforming players. Fuchs, Mahrez, Drinkwater all well below the standards they set last season. The biggest problem however, funnily enough, is doing a Swansea. They didn't replace their best player. Kante made them tick. Kante is making Chelsea tick. He's arguably in the top five for most important Premier League players at the moment. That man is what turned them from lower table scrappers to Champions League contenders and eventually Premier League winners thanks to some good fortune. If they had any hopes of staying within the top ten this season then they shouldn't have sold him. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Has Ranieri lost the plot? on 18:41 - Feb 13 with 3414 views | monmouth | Hard to do but they needed to let Mahrez and Steptoe piss off to Arsenal or wherever and replace them and the whole defence, who were never going to be allowed their cheating again. Instead they pay Mahrez & Vardy (LMFAO) £110K per week each and give Mogs, Huth and Fucs massive pay rises, and bring in a shit forward for £30m. Compare the running the two £100K pw boys did against us last year to yesterday. Like night and day. Makes Jenkins look like Bill Shanks.

Too easy and simplistic to say it's all about Kante, as good a player as he is Much more to it than that. Lots of other factors, all of which play a part. One constant through it all though is Ranieri. Calm, sensible, rational, astute tactically and the master of under playing things, he's no different to last season. To blame their demise on Kante going is way, way off the mark.

It is too simplistic to say it's just about Kante but imho it is a lot of it. Kante was like having 2 players on the pitch for them - he protected the back 4 so that teams couldn't expose the weaknesses of huth and Morgan and broke up attacks etc. So that other players didn't have to do the dirty jobs. That to me is the difference is that the players and manager are still trying to play as if Kanye is in the team. As a result it's easier to get at their centre halves and though they may run about as much other players aren't able to step up from the armchair ride that he helped give them last year. Add in the fact that all star wrestling has been stamped on at set pieces and inevitable drops in form and they are in a mess. Ranieri is also at fault by not dropping players who are not performing. Has mahrez got a strop on because he didn't get a transfer in the summer? They look a team out of sorts and out of confidence. Don't know whether them staying in the champions league or getting a tonking from Seville would be best for us.

Good point at the end there dobs, i actually think it would be best they get smashed out of site by Seville. It just could be the end of them.

No it's not. He was like two men in midfield. Allowing Mahrez to essentially be a luxury player. Contrast the form of Leicester and Chelsea with and without him. Granted it's probably not the only reason, but it's a massive part of it. Ranieri is completely different to last season, he looks like a beaten man. His team weren't tactically astute either, we could still be playing now and they wouldnt have scored.

He's a tactician who knows what's needed I will just throw one of two more pointers which have affected Leicester this season : Europe Champions League big distraction but look how well they have played on it and without Kante. Loss of form by key players e.g. Vardy. Aging defensive players e.g. Morgan Players finding it hard to recreate same levels of motivation including players who punched well above their weight Other teams working out how to nullify their fast counter attacking style and threat as Swansea did last night And lots of others including Kante.

Everything went through Kante he was the heartbeat of that team, he cleared up at the back, broke the opo's play up and got them moving in attack put the likes of Mahrez into space etc, brilliant player as being proved by his performances for Chelsea.
