Don't get me wrong; I'm rooting for complete failure at Everton (while simultaneously not caring, like Dar).

I don't begrudge them leaving for more money (which is what they've done),but I hope it turns out disastrous for both of them on the pitch.

Nothing strange about it all all G. We all think differently. Personally I will have great pleasure in the departed players failing, for one thing it'll shut up the media who think were relegated because we sold our Crown Jewels. Football is a pantomime and I luvs it.

Well Ayew played last night so what would have stopped Ash at least being on the bench?

Being part of an organised defence as opposed to someone who does whatever he fancies, wherever he fancies? The Swansea Curse, eh? Are we still 'under the radar' as well? [Post edited 16 Aug 2016 16:24]

has the curse struck again? on 18:14 - Aug 16 with 2342 views | TheKirkyLife | Those who leave for more money will always get the cold shoulder from me unless I feel they've put everything into the club. I for one never hoped that Bony would fail and that Ash will fail. Wilfried was nothing but a hard worker and dedicated player for us and being a player who dreamed of Champions League football when City came I honestly thought he deserved that chance - just like Ash has deserved a chance to move into a possible European team with Everton. As much as Ayew was a key part of our squad last season I just laughed at his cameo last night. He went for the money and because he clearly felt he was too good for a team that flirted with relegation. He did EXACTLY what he did here just coming onto the inside far too many times and having hardly any impact in the game. When he was injured all I thought about was the lovely £20.5 million profit.

Ayew wasn't in the Euros. Koeman said that Ash wasn't ready for consideration for the match day squad.

Pretty much every transfer is financially motivated. There are some that come up with better excuses than others for their moves, but it all comes down to money in the end. I don't blame them, mind. We'd all do the same. Some say they wouldn't, but if they had a contract with seven zeros in front of them I'm pretty sure they'd see what footballers see. It's all about the money. Both Ash and Ayew were with us for the differing times of their stays in Swansea because we were their best option. Just like with any other players, I'll give them every bit of support my vocal chords can offer when they're here, but I won't give them any polite applause when they're back here with their new clubs. I won't boo them either. They're just players passing through. It's the club I support.

Yeah, same reason Gylfi was only able to play half an hour for us and Taylor didn't make the bench. I would have thought there would have been some way of working it so even those in the final were ready to play the first game, but it seems to be the same for most teams with players in the latter stages
