Only if we're at the top of our game and they are nowhere near theirs is the reality Paul. And that's not doom-mongering, it's actually as it should be. they are the highest ranked team in Europe and, on their game easily, with the Germans, the best.
I'd have bitten your arm off for a shot to nothing in the QF beforehand, so I don't think we have anything to lose. I hope we give it a lash and don't just subside with a whimper. We can't concede an early goal or certain, or probably even go behind. Otherwise it's a potential stuffing like Hungary. But we can't let them flow all over us either. Have to say for all the Hungary hype, their defending has been pretty bad. I'm confident our defence is much better, plus the formation allows for extra security at the back. With that said, how long can you keep world talent like that at bay? We did it both times in the qualifiers, although they were horribly tense and very much backs to the wall.
