if true, well done to all involved. looking forward to seeing him bang in 15 goals this season and then move on to the far east for big money.

Not even worth trying to remember his name (which I've forgotten already)

This is like a slow death . And the lack of any real information from the club is making matters worse.

Was thinking exactly the same earlier. The exact same. Two weeks before the season and not one specialist striker on the books apart from McBurnie who isn't Championship standard yet. Curtis was spot on with his comments.

Aye we missed out badly with Aspas, Besic and that punter who went to Spurs and never got a game. Oh and the nutter Mitrovic and God knows how may other mini-Messis. Do we never learn. Suckers for a hyped name. We're doomed without him, doomed. Has it struck anyone that if Burnley is the best he can do, that maybe he aint that much of a world beater? No? Oh well, keep up the hysteria about someone you've never actually seen play a game in real life then.

Aspas-Liverpool Besic-Everton Stambouli-Spurs Mitrovic-Newcastle I would not say that these players are poor and we dodged a bullet, what happened here is that these players picked the wrong club. So many players who come into the premier league in a make or break situation pick a team where they wont get game time if they dont hit the ground running. With teams like Swansea and Burnley, they will get game time. If the money is spent on them, they will play even if they go 3/4 games playing poorly..........the teams mentioned above will be dropped if they play 2 poor games.

maybe, but the footstamping when we don't buy the latest miracle name is ridiculous.

Transfer Thread on 10:40 - Jul 30 with 2501 views | vetchonian | To get some perspective I think we have enough as we are to avoid relegation providing no other 1st teamers are shipped out and we get no serious injuries but we do need a striker. More worrying is the fire sale that appears to be going on. If this offloading of squad players is to reduce the wage bill to allow for a marque signing or two then fair enough...but if at the end of the window we have not made at least one significant signing then we need to be worrying not only about relegation but the whole future of our club. This will indicate our "investors" are only here to milk the cash. [Post edited 30 Jul 2016 10:53]

If the club are showing no ambition then you can't blame players for wanting to move on.

Definitely not. I wouldn't say one bad word about any of them if they wanted to leave now. It's a short career, if we don't match their ambitions then they should look elsewhere. There is no doubt the coaching staff and alot of the players were unhappy about us not getting Joey, Curtis directly quoted it. If I was Ash I would definitely be looking for a move, last chance he will get. It's all well and good us not spending, long term future of the club etc. none of us want us to risk our future, but players can't be slagged off for wanting a club with ambitions.

I bet they can't believe their luck when we said we'd take £20m! No wonder they didn't want to haggle and just got the bid in before we change our minds.
