Manager situation is a shambles 17:33 - Dec 22 with 11496 views | rWp | One or the other Huw Jenkins needs to make a decision on a new manager. If Alan Curtis is their guy until the end of the season they should come out and say. All this uncertainty is not good for the fans and probably the players are finding it frustrating. We are bouncing from game to game with more speculation not sure who will be in charge and there is nothing coming from the board. This has to be one of the most protracted, shambolic searches for a manger ever. It would be a shameless if we were comfortably in mid table but when we are in the relegation zone with 1 win since August it makes the situation 10 times worse. I have heard people saying we need to take our time but quite frankly that is nonsense. Monk was sacked well over two weeks ago and to still be in a state of uncertainty going into the biggest run of games for years is not on. Being in the premier league relegation zone does not give you time to stand still and have a long hard think about things as if we are not careful we could be cut adrift. As it stands I would happily take Poyet or Di Matteo as I think they can both keep us up. As much as a club legend as Curtis is appointing him would be dangerously similar to Terry Connor taking Wolves down and Chris Ramsay taking QPR down. The relegation zone does not stand still and we need a figurehead to guide us out of this mess who will get the respect of the players.

Manager situation is a shambles on 18:22 - Dec 22 by bermudajack | Okay let's all calm down, hysteria won't help anyone Huw has interviewed 12 credible candidates to date. He has narrowed his search down to two main possibles and will decide on this soon The new appointment will be revealed in due course, and given the clubs full support in the transfer market. All is well.... Breath ... 😮 |
Are you MM or Huw himself? If so please broadcast this on the official site and we can all... Breathe lol

Fck em, they should keep their opinions to themselves and get their vastly overpaid backsides on to the liberty pitch and do a proper bit of graft for once. This is our club, they are merely employed to wear a shirt. They should stfu. There, I feel better now.

Manager situation is a shambles on 20:25 - Dec 22 with 2711 views | vetchonian | How do we know it's not already done? Maybe it is Bielsa after all work permits etc would be required if he were to come and these don't just happen overnight especially at this time of year. As it has been said its only just over two weeks since Garry went during which time we apparently have interviewed several candidates including HJ flying to South America to see Bielsa. Maybe a deal has been done but nothing will be announced until all the is dotted and tees crossed to save embarrassment should something go wrong with visas permits etc As has already be said lets calm down Curt is a safe pair of hands in the interim whilst the main man is sorted but it can't drag on I agree but come on it's not been 3 weeks yet.

Well he said he would be 'amazed' Do we know what Phil's amazement threshold is? Maybe he gets up in the morning and is amazed he remembers how to put his socks on, then is amazed by the taste of his sugar puffs, and then repeatedly is amazed at his wife's ability to accumulate shoes. I'm not writing Bielsa off until I know the amazement ballpark we are playing in.

FFS our fans just dumbfounded me fair do's. No rush! For the love of God, look at the table, one win since August..but hey let's just continue to fu ck what has taken so much hard work to achieve up. I get the feeling that the club behind the scenes is a complete and utter shambles.

Manager situation is a shambles on 00:08 - Dec 23 with 2367 views | Bloodyhills | Well, we are in the prem because of Huw Jenkins and the board and as I have no way of influencing anything I shall be content to trust the board to do what's needed. Ideally we would have a new manager in place now but I don't imagine the board are just being lax on this one. They want success as much as us if not more.

Better to get it right now than to rush into a mistake we'll regret from the Championship... In the meantime Mr Alan Curtis seems very capable.

When I read this type of post I imagine it being read in the style of Trevor from Trade Centre Wales! Absolutely HJ and the board got us to the prem and if they take us down I for one won't whinge about it, it's been a fantastic journey with the facilities that we now have being the most important. Martinez was the clincher, an inspired choice, however Rodgers was way down the list almost a last resort and Laudrup was offered to the board by his agent, it wasn't a pre-planned strategy anticipating Rodgers exit. The past month, in my opinion has been a cock up of gigantic proportions. There has been absolutely no planning and the structure of the club has been shown to be lacking in ability to deal with this kind of situation. But going back to the start of this post, whereas certain board members lack shall we say a bit of moral fibre, they have been fantastic for the club, however this belief that everything is being co-ordinated with finesse is wide if the mark. They've fu cked up good and proper, not a problem but let's be honest with ourselves.

Have to agree with most of that. Huw and the board haven't done well over sacking Monk and finding his replacement. Credit to them for what they've done previously but this whole situation now is a mess.

No, I don't think we will. We are probably in rude financial health. The board, rightly so are making sure that we aren't burdened should we be relegated by long term contracts etc. Their prudence is probably going to make it more difficult for us to stay up, but I certainly wouldn't blame them for that. Personally I would stick with Curt now, perhaps bring Pascoe in to support and bring in a loan striker and if we could, also bring a wide player in on loan.
