Coming round to the Idea Of JFH as the next camp commandant ,with Oldfield as his bull whipped Ilse Koch , If Jackett is not an option.

Following on from Karls post , id still hope for a chink of light to go and get Warburton .

Let me say it again, I've not against JFH. Quite like the idea really but Ramsey had to go because he was clearly out of his depth. What makes Hasselbaink so different ? I'd rather see someone young but experienced in British football at Championship level.
[Post edited 25 Nov 2015 16:36]

If we are only going for people with experience of the Championship then that's a small list to go on, Ainsworth would be ruled out as well

Hasn't Ally McCoist joined the 'Who can put on as much weight as possible in a short period of time after stopping playing football' club? The founder member being Alan Brazil.

McCoist is a child. A troubled turbulent, unprofessional child. He's the Gascoigne of Scotland, to be helped, not to be put in charge.

Seems like a well executed process to me. Definitely would have preferred Rowett, but there's a lot to like about JFH. Let's wait and see I guess.

"A number of current Championship managers were also briefly considered, including MK Dons’ Karl Robinson, but QPR’s owners, who will make the final decision on an appointment, were unenthused and Hasselbaink is in pole position."

TF and board - "KarlRobinson, who is that? MK Dons, who are they?....Hasslebaink, ohhh I have heard of him, yes, pick him"

I would imagine they'd have looked at the 5 seasons it took him to get promoted with the biggest budget in the division.

Not saying he would be my choice anyway.

Ha, I was going to post the same! I can imagine the meeting: Hoos: recommended Robinson but the owners blinked a couple of times, looked at each other blankly, then said "Yeah... what about that ex-Premiership guy we used to watch on MOTD that you mentioned?"

Mind you, without having a strong opinion on any of the names been mentioned, JFH has a certain gravitas and air of authority that I can imagine buying him a bit of time with some of the more trigger-happy sections of the support, so for that reason alone could be a decent shout.

I would imagine Robinson wouldn't risk coming to our club after witnessing the abuse Ramsey got for making a substitution (let's not rerun the debate about it) and then feeling it necessary to sympathise with him!

Is there a compelling reason to get JFH? No.

A case of the board believing they need to be seen to be doing something.

Do the easy thing. Warnock will take it for six months and is probably as safe a pair of hands as any.

In the meantime spread the net wide.........
