Following on from the statements yesterday 08:16 - May 21 with 957 viewsOFFICIAL_KNIGHTS

Following on from the statements earlier this afternoon, there is something very interesting in an online BBC article:
Lancashire Police said they were continuing their investigation to identify the "small minority of supporters who overstepped the mark."

This also of course follows on from the original Lancashire Police statement:
"Lancashire Police were notified of a protest that was planned to take place prior to the game against Huddersfield FC.

Approximately 2000 people took part in a short march and static protest outside the club, both of which passed off peacefully.
Two minutes into the second half of the match, approximately 150 people made their way out of the stands and on to the pitch to peacefully occupy the centre circle.

All efforts made by stewards and police officers to ask them to leave were unsuccessful and eventually the match officials made the decision to abandon the game.

Our priority is to ensure the safety of all supporters and those involved in the game.
The protest was peaceful and non-violent at all times and the response from both the stewards and police officers at the ground reflected this.

"small minority of supporters who overstepped the mark." Just a thought, could this refer to the people who were trying to obtain Oystons autograph rather than those on the pitch? Any chance of the police clarifying that statement?

Very good point BBTRR - end of the day though am pretty sure that it is against the law to go on to the playing surface and those who did can't really complain if action is brought against them. Those who wore masks and scarves over their faces are probably pretty glad they did in hindsight.

Poll: Would you still play the Oriol's
