as much as i love michu, i'd rather not sacrifice siggy in the hope that michu can return to something like he was that one season. siggy is perfect in the hole, which is the only place michu would be effective. siggy seems to enjoy his time at swans and could really become a legend for the club with a couple more seasons like this one (in addition to his initial loan spell). michu should go back to oviedo and try to get them back to la liga.

He performed well above average for the first ten games of the next season too.
I agree. He didn't get as many goals as the previous season, but his link up play was superb and he was arguably playing better football than in his debut season

Dr Winston's diagnosis strikes me as premature. Is he the proud recipient of a MB Bch or MBChB? It would be fascinating to hear his views on Michu's detailed diagnosis. I hope that most on here prefer to go forward with an open mind.

Most on this site, a couple of months ago, ridiculed the very idea that Michu could return. I would say it's quite likely he will return. As for the crystal ball medical prognoses on here... It's just folk trying to be in the know when they know feck all. He can play up front, with Siggy just behind him if he's fit enough.
Nothing to lose here.hope it happens

Agree to an extent.
However firstly we don't know how fit he is following the operation, the second great unknown is what, if anything, has gone on behind the scenes.
File this one under wait and see how it plays out, not holding my breath on the injury front though.

Yes nothing to lose. I hope he comes back and kicks every fooking advertising board in the liberty, coz that'll mean he scoring again.

Spot on but I must say I did not notice much hoarding kicking on the opening clip. It is a long shot but a fully fit and committed Michu is a no brainier. It looks like the vast majority of fans are behind him and I hope he makes despite it seeming a very long shot at the moment.

Michu's strops were down to dissatisfaction with his injury and performance, i.e. nothing to do with Laudrup or the club or other players. Fact Like many players he didn't realise the extent of his injury (e.g. Monk today states Oliveira had an ankle injury going into the Stoke game) until very late in the season it was kept quiet but Napoli had a good idea of what they were taking on. Fact It was made clear he wasn't wanted at the club and so took up the offer from Benitez Fact
I find it amazing that some on here would not play an injury free Michu ahead of any of our midfield - 22 goals from 43 games in season 1 then, in his rubbish season, 6 from 24 with Bony in the team also getting a hatful.
That's the same strike rate in his injury leaden, strop laden, pathetic get him out season as Ki is achieving in what he described as his best season ever.

Rafa, if it is a fact that he isn't wanted at the club then it is unlikely that he will be let anywhere near the first team squad whether he is injury free or not.

You have to admit that some on here do know what they are talking about and it is not feck all. Regretfully Michu will never be fit enough to play regularly again.

What's he going to do though, as he will be taking money from us.
Perhaps Huw will employ him on the building site?
We may agree to mutually end his contract - aka agree an amount to pay him off early - thereby allowing him to be a 'free agent' & sign for whoever he likes, maybe back in Spain for Oviedo or Rayo.
