Never thought I'd say it but glad to be out of it. Haven't been there for nearly two years now. Brighton was parochial but better schooling options when the kids were growing up.
Happier in Spain, and I never thought I'd say that either.
Never really liked anywhere East, pretty soulless. South was ok in parts, Brixton mostly, but Streatham etc were always grim from memory. West is still best but the R's aside I have little will to return. Spain, off thetourist trail, has it's challenges. The change in Uxbridge from 2000 when I left to 2012 was both shocking and grim. |
I'm the opposite.....moving back here from brighton has been the best decision i've made in years. Still love London....just not parts of it. | | | |

agree about Uxbridge, its like Warsaw now
saying that everything around their has changed for the worst over the last 10 or so years , Ealing, West Ealing, Sudbury, even parts of Ruislip is now populated by Danny Dyer wannabees bowling around in reebok classics
im glad I sold my flat in Perivale 13 years ago and went to Northamptonshire I would never go back to live in London or the outskirts

I have been there a few times recently for work.
I normally work in Uxbridge
And I distinctly remembering being in Warsaw thinking how like Uxbridge it was.
