According to French paper Le Parisien, Marseille's Gianelli Imbula would prefer to move to Southampton than Spurs.
Imbula is one of the hottest properties in Europa after a good season at Marseille and its rumoured that Spurs have already put in a £9.2 million bid for his services, but Le Parisien claim they are wasting their time as Imbula would prefer to move to Saints
Giannelli Imbula prefers a move to Southampton. The deal would consist of an initial €2m loan fee followed by an €18m obligatory buy-out clause at the end of the season” reports from RMC Sport claim.
Imbula was one of the top defensive midfielders in France last season and had an impressive 89.8% pass completion rate, if Saints could secure his services it would be a coup and even at 20 million euros that would still see Saints be able to use part of the fee for Morgan Schneiderlin and still have around £10 million to play with, so it would represent good business.
However Saints are not alone in their pursuit of Imbula, with Inter Milan also being heavily linked,
