A good win at home that keeps the pressure on West Ham & Reading to play catch up if they want to win one of the automatic promotion spots this season.
Saints did what they had to do with two well taken goals from Adam Lallana, once again they did what they usually do at St Mary's and win the game, both were well worked goals, especially the second were Tadanari Lee made a great run to the byeline and then cut inside to pull a lovely pass back for Lallana to fire home.
Its now all about keeping winning as the race for the premiership heads into the home straight and another five wins should be enough to take one of those top two places, the key though will be doing exactly what we did to Barnsley, score goals at key times and keep it tight at the back, we almost did that against Ipswich on Tuesday but a lapse in concentration then cost us two points, we couldnt afford to do that twice in a week and didnt.
Its now getting psycological as West Ham cant seem to win at home, but are rampant on the road, in fact almost the polar opposite of what we were earlier in the season, on Saturday we plyed the pressure on the Hammers and they have now seen there potential points supremacy pulled back in, only Reading winning was a blight on the day, however if we keep on winning ourselves it makes every game harder for them, they will start to feel that whatever they do wont be good enough to catch us
