Russell Martin was a success last season, just.
His job was to get us promoted. Which he did.
This season his aim is to keep us up.
Unfortunately that’s with only 3 or maybe 4 at a push Premier League standard players.

Whoever is manager is going to have their work cut out keeping the club up with the level of players we have.
As I’ve said numerous times, give Martin till after the Wolves game then decide.
That will be 11 Premier League games gone.
Leicester, Everton and Wolves games will decide his future.
9 points from those 3 and things look a lot different. |

Sports Republic needed to spend SERIOUS money to keep us in this league.

We have a Championship level manager who is an upgrade on the last two who are now in League 1.
Downes, KWP (who has been dropped) and Ramsdale aside we have a team of Championship level players.
Let’s not forget if the Feyenoord keeper had passed his medical we wouldn’t have Ramsdale.
