Wind power is important

Right wing people hate wind power for some reason. Everyone knows It does not blow everyday and it can go several days without wind. Germans call it 'Dunkelflaute'.

You can follow the percentage of (I presume) electricity generation with this app.

Close in 50% wind power. Welsh does not get it's fair share of the generation fees to help us become economically self sustainable.

Another knife attack

Some perspective is needed. This was in a foreign country. UK gas it's own knife issue. This is from a brief internet search.

(In the year ending March 2024, there were around 50,500 knife-related offenses in England and Wales). About 140 a day.

Big strong number 9 s with a good shot and control are extremely rare in Wales and UK in general.

These guys tend not to cut the mustard. Cardiff had a guy Crole who was a prodigious scorer at youth level but come 21 is now at Penybont.

No one since Hartson which emerged 30 it ears ago.Gyorkers was useless one year £20m two years late and now £80m and roughhousing Manchester city.

OMcB was a disciplinary disaster area but Potter negotiated him sufficiently to fleece £20m from Steff Utd.

This is why Swansea a should show love and patience to Kuharevych who at 22 is still fighting for recognition. He looked a bit of a beast when I saw him for 10 minutes. Swansea could have dumped Cullen as an underachiever but shown him exceptional patience and care. The club is benefitting from him now.

Centre forwards need patience as they are rarely found in Wales. I have not seen Woodward much.

The new man if it is not him could force him out anyway. Williams accepted him as part of his team There is no certainty that Ramsey or Marsch would do the same.

I doubt he will be sold due to his wages. Another loan with Swansea subsidy us likely and then he is off the books.

It t us shocking that the Swansea academy has produced no one to rival McLoughlin who Swansea are paying for a on top of Fisher.

Cooper left when the budget was cut. He declined to fulfill his contract without having another job. He might have argued his job was " impossible' but he had Piroe on his way which he could have pair with Lowe.

He was unhappy he had no central forward having decline to develop Gyorkeres. Gyorkeres was an 18 months project and Cooper was not thinking long term. Gyorkeres and Piroe think about that. If only he thought long term

He is Swansea's reserve keeper and under contract and as such deserves support. He is not top drawer and probably overpaid but that was on Russ s recommendation.

No one gets the asking g price. It is the art of the deal. Huw put in a low ball offer and Liverpool rejected it. They would have accepted around that price in January but Joey wanted to go to Stoke. He signed as second deal with them. He only wanted to come to Swansea to fill up his pension and the club fell for it.

If Joe wanted to come to Swansea he could have forced it somewhere along the line. He was not forced to sign for Stoke ( twice). Swansea signed Fer instead and he was very good for Swansea.

I contribute on both pages and open new threads. Intimidating and patronising poster is why people read posts but do not contribute. People like you are the reason why. Mind your own business. People can make their own judgement. This forum should not be 10-12 contemptuous posters

I have seen Wilson a dozen times and he is a threat. Dan James did nothing at Shrewsbury. Wilson was MOM in his first game and two assists on his latest game. Wilson is more mature than Govea who has played.

Cotterill Congreve and Wilson can all step up. Swansea need to develop a goal keeper as well and not pay big wages for veterans. Why is Watts not on the bench?

Cotterill and Wilson are ready. Parker and perhaps Glory after his US spell.

I would go all out for Low and CR17 on frees and make Connor captain on decent money. He has the edge that Grimes never
had. Ash Williams edge. Wilson and Parker have real gas and Ginnelly and Yates wilm be back.

Bianchini Vipotnik Eom Tymon Key all have potential and the club needs a coach that improves players. The new man must assess Yates and Kuharevych in pre season. In my opinion a limited big lump can still be of use off the bench. Both Yate and Cullen ars poached and feed of knock-downs generated by muscle.

Chippo Motting played for FC Bayern for a few seasons and the Spanish guy Joselu that could not cut it here played for Espana.

Russian economy is tanking and to hold the land they stole they gave to make long and costly military spending spread thin.

Then they have to rebuild the cities they flattened costing by billions. They gave done some small projects in Mariupol. Their oil pipeline could freeze over and break and need complete reconstruction according to on analyst. Many refineries are seriously damaged and need foreign experts.

Sevastopol is unusable for them without Ukraine's es consent. They had the harbour for their use in 2021. Now they cannot use it without Ukraine's permission. UK has this trouble with Hong Kong and concluded they had to hand it over.

Russians on the plus side have defened the Kerch bridge longer than I expected.

Why bother

The governments add 25% or upto 40% extra for anyone paying into a private pension and employers contribute to workplace pensions. Their tax is taking it back with growth. It is therefore not that unfair. Tax benefit in and tax charge out.

I would recommend anyone with family y members in 18-39 to look at lifetime ISA. You can invest up to £4000 a year and get 25% extra and pay No tax if you use it to buy a house or use it as a pension. It is a gift from the Government. Smart rich people all have them. Put it in a S&P 500 tracker and it will fly.

No tax. The "Why bother" people do not bother and miss out. I never factored in HMG state pension as the demographics for baby boomer generation is not good.

Why bother

Pensioners have lived through the great days and worked to end them by voting to end free trade with Europe.

Pension funds stocks and shares and housing have all flourished over ths last few decades.

People who have planned and invested in any of these things will have benefitted from government incentives such as tax benefits for housing and pensions. The Government encouraged people to do this. Some did and some did not. It is a free country. You get £1000 a month free of tax. Enough g for most. Many are claiming poverty struggling to heat £400k empty houses. UK love property.

Free school free university back then free health no TV Licence. It all adds up. Free bus pass.

If you have rented and not invested anything then you might find it tough. Others have done well and have to pay a little tax.

USA is not the only show in town. UK has a number of huge mining firms that would welcome UK government support and will give Ukraine a much better deal than Trump presumably.

Glencore , BHP, Anglo American Rio Tinto all have the cash and knowledge.

Europe and UK need to get in there and compete. They should be offering decent terms not the insulting terms Trump has offered.

Europe needs to turn that $300 billion frozen Russian assets into weapons before any peace talks. Russia is out of troops and our of the tanks.

The tide may have turned with RF losing small amounts of ground in Proprosk and near Suzdja. The mighty Russian army has had Ukrainians on their oil van cannot shift them which is pretty pathetic.

The Wales is subsidised argument is largely a book keeping issue with the profits of Welsh workers reflected in accounts of companies based in London.

I have just come back from Bosnia which is an independent federal country of the same size and population with event greater challenges than Wales has. Welsh people would be worse off probably after independence. English people voted for Brexit understanding they could be worse off but went ahead anyway and are worse off.
