how can you claim Potter messed up and Cooper lost talent.

Have you seen what they went onto achieve elsewhere?

As someone said on twitter/x - Russell, Steve and Potter could not wait to get out. I wonder how long it will take for Luke to feel the same.... Interesting times ahead.

I don't think we will go down - mainly for the fact there are teams probably in a worse position that us.

However unless Levien/Kaplan/Silverstein/Coleman/Gude/Watson and Williams can pull 5-6 quality signings out of the bag then I think it is quite sad that we won't be in contention for a top 6 place. We are so far off being a promotion contender.

And remember Swans legend Leon when we got relegated from the Premier League - he said it could take up to 4 seasons before Swansea could bounce back into the Premier League. Where are we now - season 7/8?

A great update - thank you Keith.

The last paragraph is a worry. The owners have had 8 years / 16 transfer windows and we still don't seem to be able to get it right. That has to be a concern.

And I have watched the Luke Williams interview in Austria. Fair play it looks a lovely hotel - how much has that cost???? is it worth it? - once we see our first few league games we will know if the trip has been worthwhile.

take me back to 34 years ago this Summer where Doug Sharpe spent over £500k on Jimmy Gilligan and Terry Connor from Portsmouth. Both players who could score for fun.

if Swansea signed three "decent/championship" strikers today - it will take close to a month for them to settle in.

I worry that we are sleepwalking into panic mode in the last week of the transfer window. Middlesborough, Preston and Cardiff are not easy fixtures.

A little reminder.....

Gyokeres was recalled by Brighton (out of Swansea's control)

and Steve Cooper rated him - and also Gyokeres picked up covid while on international duty.

Context is important and posters should not always rely on WalesOnline as the key source - they have sadly got storied mixed up over the last few seasons at times.
