George Donnelly on 13:27 - May 15 with 7665 views | TomRAFC | he's hardly prolific 6 goals in 28 games over at macclesfield simular spells at fleetwood and stockport still a young lad but not the sort of proven player we should be after

Which proven players should we be after great wise one..? Also, answer me this one....which of the following players we signed over time were 'proven players' when they arrived at Dale..? Grant Holt Ricky Lambert Chris Dagnall Adam le Fondre Chris O' Grady ...all did well for Dale and went on to bigger and better things.

o'grady scored 13 in a season at rotheram holt had banged them in in the conference for barrow and played a season at a higher level with sheffield wednesday lambert was bought originally as a midfielder as was a decent goalscorer at stockport as was alfie who scored 4 in 7 in a preliminary loan spell daggers scored 7 in a season from tranmerre at a higher level as for proven players i would rather see? the released list page has plenty of decent league one and championship strikers on it that would have been free sorry mr snippy-pants

Shall I finish off your sentences for you..? holt had banged them in in the conference for barrow and played a season at a higher level with sheffield wednesday...where he scored 3 in 24 games! lambert was bought originally as a midfielder as was a decent goalscorer at stockport...18 goals in 98 games alfie who scored 4 in 7 in a preliminary loan spell...which does not count as being 'proven' before coming to the club!! daggers scored 7 in a season from tranmerre at a higher level...and 30 in total in 3 years at Tranmere!! 'Decent' players do not generally get released on a free, especially strikers!
George Donnelly on 14:51 - May 15 with 7244 views | D_Alien | What I like is Coleman's comment that the lad will "fit in well here". Sounds like JC's got his feet under the table, and starting to make his move(s).

George Donnelly on 15:50 - May 15 with 7067 views | Hopwoodblue | Last Macc striker went to Peterborough in the Championship didn't he ? The only way we have of improving is to take a risk or two we are not in a position to buy big or pay big wages! What makes people think we should be chasing championship players in our position? For god sake get behind the management and stop complaining he's playing the same league as he did last year,we have to look down the leagues for bargains here and there as well and stop turning our noses up at players who haven't played at a higher level. WE NEED TO GET OVER OURSELVES !!!

Bit unfair on Daggers - His goals per game at Tranmere was pretty good. Others I would agree were rough diamonds. You could look at our 3 highest transfers though and argue all 3 did not do as well as any of the above. Flounders - Did OK at first, Got done for drink driving - Fell out with Sutton Platty - Did ok - worked hard - but was never prolific Connor - Great Player - Got Injured - Never the same again. Could also add Paul Williams - Who is better at falling off horses than scoring goals!!!
